What a gem! I had walked past this place many times. I finally tried it and I was very impressed. The service was friendly and fast. I had the burger steak and it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were probably the best I ever had. My friends had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. We also shared a plate of wagyu which was outstanding. I will be back many times to go down that menu.

I've been to Kokkaku twice and both times the mains were cooked and seasoned perfectly. They have a nice assortment of cuts, and fair prices. The wagyu side was just okay though. It's a steakhouse with a more casual vibe, being a bit more crowded, brighter and not white table cloth.

Great drinks & Japanese food. Happy hour is the best (with $1.75/each oysters, $7 drinks, and $5 Wagyu steak sushi). Bartender Rachael is courteous and efficient and effortless. Hamburg steak is incredibly delicious. Server Rei is fast, calm, and gentle, never seems rushed when it’s busy.
Perfect date night spot with soft lighting, good ambience, and romantic vibe with amazing Japanese food. Make reservations early.
Chefs are Japanese so the food is authentic and overwhelmingly tasty.

Had our anniversary dinner here and really enjoyed it! Service was friendly, prompt, and professional without the stuffiness or pretension. Food was excellent - the steak was cooked perfectly; the garlic anchovy mashed potatoes and kizami wasabi steak sauce were absolutely delicious and so unique, both paired perfectly with the meat.
We took their recommendation on a bottle of sake, which was also excellent and complimented our meals.
Really lovely date night spot! Highly recommend this place!

The air quality was really terrible 😞
They should have better air circulation for cooking the steak/meat.
But the service was overall really good!

Great food and we used to be regulars here. Worst service today with barely an apology. Order was wrong. Food was sent to the wrong table. Receipt arrived even though we intended to have desert. Complained to manager and no apology or service recovery.

The dishes were hit or miss. Cheese hamburger was amazing. Wagyu options did not live up to the hype. The rib eye steak was good, but the medallions with agar was unimpressive. The cheesecake dessert was fantastic, but the others were too sweet or stale (brownie).

This is a fantastic restaurant. The service was impeccable, and the food was exquisite. The ribeye was perfect. The seared Wagyu nigiri was another highlight. I also enjoyed the Caesar salad. Kokkku is going to be a restaurant where I bring guests to impress.

Really unique and delicious wagyu steak, served with plenty of Japanese flair. The Wagyu Special Course is delicious and I'd highly recommend it if you want to experience all the varieties of Wagyu preparation that they offer. The sushi-inspired appetizers are unlike anything you've probably had before and the Wagyu ragu pasta is hearty and delicious. Unsurprisingly, the seared Wagyu steak is phenomenal and cooked to perfection.
One member of our party has several dietary restrictions, including beef, and the staff were extremely understanding and flexible. They prepared a special gluten-free version of their chicken entree with no complaints and no extra fee, and it was delicious!
For dessert, the fire tofu cheesecake is one of the best things on the menu. The soy milk panna cotta is also delicious, not too sweet, and it's gluten-free and vegan!
Overall, we really enjoyed all the food and the service was exceptional.

We came by as a group of four with a reservation, and we were seated immediately! There was a mishap over the table not being ready yet, but they cleaned it up for us ASAP. The owner came by and made sure we were having a good time and answered all of our questions. We could tell that he was really passionate about wagyu and that he took pride in his work!
We stayed and chatted for a long while, basically until closing time, and not once did the owner or the staff make us feel rushed about finishing up and leaving. It was a very cozy vibe, and the owner welcomed us to come back for happy hour next time!
The Wagyu Sushi was our favorite and sooooo good!!! We will definitely come back to order more of it and try out the rest of the menu next time!! Definitely one of our favorites!
