The Seamonster is that place I wanted my whole life where I can listen to live music and KILLER funk right here in the neighborhood. The audience ranges from 21 to 71 and everyone is shaking their butts together on the dancefloor in harmony. The musicians are truly world class, and all the funk musicians that cycle through there especially so! This place is such a good time!
I had a great time here! Amazing music, the staff was super nice. They could probably open a window because it can get really stuffy. When I walked in the front door window was all foggy from all the body heat and it took everything in me not to run my hand down it like rose in the Titanic.. More of an intrusive thought lol but the venue is great, they music is amazing, and it's full of life and good drinks

I met up with friends on a Sunday night to listen to jazz and it was a great time. It's not crowded at all and people show up at different times so the crowd changes as the night goes on. We met folks visiting from out-of-town who wanted to experience the cool Seattle music scene. And we met other friendly locals who are into jazz. (I know- crazy! But the Seattle Freeze was not in effect!) The bartender was great and made an awesome Negroni! There is a full bar and plenty of spaces...read full review
