We went here for our treat ourselves honeymoon dinner. The service was amazing. Everyone was so kind. We ate so much good steak it was amazing. I cannot recommend this place for a nice dinner enough!I am going to butcher the menu names but here is what we got:The Wagyu 4 ways2 Pieces of the Wagyu Sushi (this was absolutely delicious)The Wagyu Ragu (If you have been to Japan this tasted like a pasta with traditional gyudon but the meat was SO much higher quality. It was hard to stop eating this because I LOVE gyudon)4oz A5 Wagyu (LITERALLY AMAZING. We were emotional. It was so amazing. It came with a great sauce, mustard, mashed potatoes and veggies. It is so worth the price tag. GO TRY IT!!)If you are considering eating here! Do it! I cannot even imagine why every rating is not 5 starts. I would love to be able to eat here all the tine, a seattle must for me moving forward!

It's a good sign to see a restaurant so busy on a Sunday night, and it's a small place so definitely make reservations ahead of time. I originally had a reservation for 2 at 7:00 but plans changed and I ended up there at 6:00 by myself. Even though a sign posted on the door said they were fully booked for the evening, I was able to get a seat at the bar right away, which was just fine by me because I like to watch the kitchen staff work their magic. There were a few communication issues with the staff due to a language barrier, but nothing egregious. Also a good sign that I was hearing more Japanese spoken than English.Toki Old Fashioned was quite tasty. The bagna cauda was a nice assortment of fresh veggies, and the sauce served with it was very delicious. The chicken wings had great flavor, but I was disappointed the menu did not state they would be lightly breaded, as I am sensitive to wheat. The sauce served with the wings was just ok, but the chicken had enough flavor (and just the right amount of heat) so they didn't need any extra sauce. The Australian Wagyu NY Strip was cooked perfectly and was delightfully tender, with a nice grilled flavor. I didn't care for the potent sesame steak sauce. Overall, this is an impressive restaurant for the size and their attention to detail is noticed and appreciated.Dietary restrictions: No one asked, and it didn't seem like modifications would be made if requested

Similar to the other experiences here, service was extremely slow even at the bar. I was there for nearly 3 hours. Had to send my steak back THREE TIMES because they couldn’t cook a steak medium-well. They also didn’t apologize at all nor did they take it off the final bill. I brought this up to one of the staff members and was treated extremely rudely and he somehow blamed me for how I wanted my steak cooked…I’m HOH and don’t have an email so I don’t have a way of contacting them but my experience here was absolutely terrible.

Unbelievable experience. I had a treat-yo-self moment and took myself on a date here and splurged with the Wagyu tasting menu. $125 bucks but every bite from every course was amazing. If you've been hearing about Japanese A-5 Wagyu beef I can now tell you that the hype is real. Think of the best bite of the best ribeye you've ever had, maybe right by the rib cap and times that by ten and that's what A-5 Wagyu tastes like. I also ordered 4 oysters for $1.75 each off of the happy hour menu which had an impressive selection of food and bevearge options. This place is very small but cozy, would be a perfect place for an intimate and romantic date. I was solo sitting at the bar (beer, wine, liquor) and it was a pleasurable experience. Great modern jazz playing at a comfortable level on the speakers and pleasing lighting and ambiance. There were 2 servers and 2 chefs. The servers were so friendly and knowledgeable. The kitchen was open so you could watch the chefs prepare everything. I've cooked in this setup before in restaurants so my only gripe was at one point one of the chefs was on his phone...he used gloves while preparing the food but nothing will take me out of the moment and potentially gross me out more than a food service worker on their phone. Who knows, maybe he was checking his Bitcoin bag, it's been pumping lately, lol. I won't fault them for that, everyone is glued to their phone these days. This place is wildly awesome and I will be going back whenever possible. I'm not from the area, visit alot from Alaska so the neighborhood was not familiar to me but it was chill and safe feeling with other restaurants and bars. I was staying in the downtown area so it was about a 35 dollar uber ride one way. All in all 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.

I would have rated it higher but I came with the intention of ordering the oysters only to find out they were out when I arrived. The server did not know what some of the items were on the menu.

We went on a Friday during happy hour and got a good amount of snacks to sample. Our favorite bite is probably the bruchetta / baggutte bites. I also tried the steak which is a decent size but a tad rushed to the table (needs to rest a bit more perhaps.

We ate here for NYE dinner and had an amazing time! We both had the Wagyu special course meal and I definitely recommend! Everything was superb. They were also able to accommodate my girlfriend's no dairy no gluten diet. Service was great and the place is cozy!

Really disappointed. They par cook their steaks and then let them rest, then send them out without finishing them. In Seattle I tend to order my steaks medium because people undercook them to medium rare. I ordered medium and got black and blue. Service was great, but that guy on the grill needs to be retrained. This is coming from someone who worked in kitchens for 10 years.

The food is amazing! Did i say that the food is amazing and the prices are reasonable! The service is nice and friendly, unfortunately after 3 appetizers, they forgot to place our main course order with the kitchen, and after a long time, came up to the table to ask if we wanted anything else, to which our response was "yes, the dinner we ordered." They scrambled, acted like it just takes time because they were busy, and then the main course showed up, minus the side. No worries, mistakes are normal, they did make an effort to fix things, and we were grateful. I would go back with no concerns on my end. I would tally the error to having two servers who maybe didn't communicate well, they seemed young. Anyway, all in all, a great place, absolutely worth a visit, and I'll go back

Pros: nice atmosphere, cute little place, layout was intuitive. Salads were crispy, cold, and tasty. Servers were friendly but overwhelmed.Cons: absolutely criminally understaffed. They weren't busy and were struggling intensely to serve the tables they had. One chef, one bartender, one expo manager/GM. It was honestly sort of ludicrous to watch. Steaks were brought out incredibly rare/bloody when the orders for both were medium rare (this seems to be a prevalent issue. The chef must have something against meat that isn't still screaming when you put it on the plate ?). Both pasta dishes were lukewarm to cold, because they had obviously been sitting out on the expo for forever. Sent both steaks back to be cooked a little more. One was brought back alright, the other was still bloody and raw in the center. My aunt sent her pasta dish back to be heated up because it was stone-cold on the edges, and they literally just popped it in the microwave right in line of sight (my guys, I also work in a restaurant and know that's what happens 99% of the time, but we don't do it out in the open!!!)The fingerling potatoes we ordered at the very beginning as an appetizer were the last thing to be brought out because the GM/owner completely forgot about them. We had to remind him about them. They did seem aware that the experience wasn't great, and the chef made us desserts on the house, which is sweet, but it also doesn't make up for the almost two hours and $300 check (that's for four people dining in, two salads and fries, four entrees). While I'm sympathetic to restaurants in general, this was kind of heinous just because of the price tag - you expect a certain quality when it comes with a three digit bill. No one was overtly rude or unwelcoming, but it was plain to see that they'd bitten off more than they could chew with regards to service.I was so excited to come here to eat. I wish I could say I'd be back, but I just can't justify the risk.

Food was decent. One of the two steaks were very nice. Not a lot of wow factors but I’m more or less satisfied. Service was quite slow which made it hard for us to catch an event. We were ignored for quite a while after sitting down and had to fetch menus on our own.

Went here on weekday for restaurant week so I understood they were very busy. But took 40mins to get the starter and took another 40mins to get the main dish. Not only that, but also bad service. They also need to improve their ventilation system because it had full of vapor and odors inside. Could not breathe while waiting and eating. Food was just okay but not outstanding. Not recommended.
