Love the atmosphere of Life on Mars. Since it's a bar it can get loud at times in the evening, so if that's not your thing maybe not the place for you. The menu isn't huge but anything I have has here has been solid. The cocktails are great and they have mocktail options too which is nice. I feel its best for smaller groups as once we reserved for a larger group of about 10-12 and got given a bunch of small round tables in a row. This arrangement wasn't very comfortable and when food came it was a struggle to fit everything. When I've gone with groups of 3-6 it's been a lot better experience. Great vibes and really good vegan food! My only complaint is they aren’t on any delivery service and you have to call in to place a to-go order. Really wish there was order ahead for pick up on their website!! Updated from previous review on 2025-11-22
Went here for a party. The food and drinks are about as expensive as you'd expect for a place in one of the new Capitol Hill buildings, but the quality (so far) compares somewhat unfavorably with a No Bones or Highline. I've been waiting a while to finally have an aquafaba flip, so I'm happy that's finally come to Seattle. Everything came out very fast for a busy night. Staff was friendly, though somewhat hard to get a hold of. That was true a few years ago and it's still true--I avoid this place on weekend nights especially. It's possible to grab a seat at the bar and feel like you've been totally forgotten. Updated from previous review on 2025-10-24
Very flavorful with so many choices. If I lived here I would be back every week.
I went here for dinner last week and tried a few things. The platter was ok, I enjoyed the cauliflower wings. The ones with parmesan were my favorite. The pot pie was really disappointing. The soup lacked flavor, it was not hot enough, and the biscuit was so stale and hard that I could not even cut it. Thankfully, the server was kind enough to remove it from the bill. The person who was with me ordered the portobello mushroom, and I was told it was nothing special. The desserts were good, so I guess the experience changes based on the dish you order. That said, I think prices are high.
food was really good. we had the burger, beet salad, and fries. atmosphere was better; good music and service.
The food here was great, and it wasn't overwhelmingly expensive for the area. Love the vibe. The food was good, but not strikingly good. Still deserves the 5 star.
One of our favorite places in Seattle to eat and chill.
This is a fun place to eat! I go here whenever I have dinner with a vegan friend - the food is excellent and they have a great drink selection too.
We had a great day in Seattle at the waterfront. Looked up vegan restaurants and this one came up. Little of an uphill walk but worth it. Nice corner spot in a happening part of capital hill. Greeted right away, got a nice spot bye a window. Ordered a couple staters. Brussel sprouts and the large order of cauliflower wings, which you get to pick two flavors. We got garlic butter and buffalo. We both enjoyed all three starters. And they were nice size. We also did an order of pish and chips , not sure what they made the pish from but it was yummy. We will go back, also the service was great, very helpful with our choices. I hear brunch is awesome.

Best restaurant in Seattle for vegan food. They do vegan fish extremely well. My favorite dish currently on the menu is fish and chips. I want to try all of the deserts but can never bring myself to pass up the tiramisu! Delicious cocktails as well. Oh, and brunch!! I come here every chance I get and it has always been a great experience.

My honest opinion is the food is really mid/mediocre at best. It’s way overpriced for what it is and how it taste. Cocktails look nice and was okay. The services OK and the atmosphere is solid.

They have some of the best house cocktails and great food. The vintage feel is amazing and the music always hits.
