The prepared foods, fresh pastries and coffee are excellent. The breakfast burrito specifically is quite good. Wish they offered matcha though. The do...kind of, but it's just a "matcha" teabag and nothing like what you'd expect. Great place to have in the neighborhood for a bite and a drink before heading to the park.

Ordered a full sandwich and half-salad. Very mediocre bread for the sandwich. Walked away from the experience $40 poorer and not much fuller.Leaving a review just to let potential customers know that the food is pretty mid.

Amazing staff, food, and drinks!! The staff goes above and beyond to be sure the quality is excellent. They are also warm and it’s obvious they are well liked from all the regulars! I go here multiple times a week. Love it!!! It’s worth ordering online ahead of time because the line can get long. Thank you Madison Kitchen ❤️

I love Madison Kitchen! The staff is always so friendly and even quickly learned my name! I've enjoyed everything I've eaten there. I especially appreciate the pastries, there's such a variety of options with new and different treats seemingly every day! It's hard to stop myself from making a daily visit.

Great coffee, wonderful outdoor atmosphere, fantastic baristas. We visited in October and only popped in to get americanos, but I was struck by how friendly the service was. Eliza was our barista and she was so welcoming and pleasant to talk with. She was all smiles, very knowledgeable about coffee and went the extra mile - would return just to see be served by Eliza again.

The best coffee I have had in awhile! I got a doppio espresso and it was sweet and creamy, no bitterness at all!

Sadly I can’t help but agree with previous reviews that customers are a “bother” to the staff who are so not friendly, and openly so, not even trying to disguise their irritability. Admittedly we arrived as they were closing & they did still offer to oblige our coffee request, yet with the grump of a grizzly bear - very off-putting if we, as international visitors, might have considered returning ?

It is nice having a salad and sandwich shop in the neighborhood. I used to grab lunch here often. Unfortunately the quality of the food and service have taken a nosedive in the last couple years. I ordered the BLATT many times to go and would get home and open the sandwich and there was always something missing, the bacon, avocado… one time there was one piece of lettuce the size of my thumb and they never cut the sandwich evenly so I would have a 3/4 which all the meat and the rest just bread. For the price I expect more. I agree with the woman regarding the Asian noodle salad, used to be delicious, now tasteless and the selection of pastries is not as good either. Before the remodel, when they moved the seating outside this was a great place. Now, I would definitely look elsewhere for lunch.

Wish I had gotten a better picture of the pasties because they were excellent and this picture doesn’t do it Justice. The doughnuts were warm from the oven and delicious. The lemon poppyseed scone was so tasty and light. We had a lemonade and a cortado. I asked the barista how she made the cortado and she explained it to me and was very knowledgeable. Will be back again!
