originally, i was trying to find a halal butcher. after trying two different spots that google maps said were open (turned out one was closed for renovation & the other was completely just… obliterated), i found goodies market. while walking down the hill there, i walked past this place. i was starving, so i said “after i shop, i will get lunch from here.”

i didn’t realize it but this place is primarily cash. they take doordash and uber eats orders tho so if you don’t have cash you can just order pickup thru the app. you can even eat it there if you want. the inside is decorated cutely with pictures and articles about beirut & lebanon in general. it’s also very neat!

the owner kai was super nice. i was telling him my escapades trying to find halal meat in seattle ? he agreed that it’s rough out here. after that, he got to work on my food.

i got the veggie plate. goodness gracious it was so delicious. i had one last-minute errand after i received my food so it was kinda cold by the time i got to it, but it was still so delicious. i immediately went for the warak 3nab and even cold they were mouth-watering. i ate about half of the plate and saved the rest for my lunch. so worth it.

next time i will actually try the man’oushe! if you’re in lake city, check this place out.

Ordered the cheese pizza. It genuinely looks amazing, the pictures aren't misleading in the appearance, so I was excited to try it. The crust was mealy and crumbly. The sauce is lumpy and dry, and tastes only vaguely sweet. The cheese has no flavor at all. Absolutely dismal.

Great people, great food. The za'atar man'oushe is so comforting and delicious, especially fresh out of the oven! Stop by the store on the bottom floor for some middle eastern groceries!

Flavorless watery food. Garlic sauce had little to no garlic flavor, tasted more like flour. Beef and lamb shawarma had very little flavor. We ended up tossing most of what we purchashed.

We moved to Seattle 3 years ago and haven’t found good Middle Eastern food until now. The flavor is just like being in Dearborn, Michigan. We’ll be regular customers.

Wow this chicken is the star of this show with the spicy green garlic sauce. Why did I not buy a pound of this at the market downstairs? I heard the angels singing when I touched it. Mashalalh seriously incredible food and manaesh that take me back to the motherland (Anaheim). But please set up Apple Pay or square the cash thing is confusing at this point. Oh yea also the hummus best hummus in all of Seattle. ??

Had falafel plate, daughter had Mediterranean salad with fabulous pomegranate vinaigrette. Got Turkish delight at Goodies Market downstairs.

Wish they opened a location in Ballard :). First time trying for lunch yesterday. Will definitely come back. Husband and I both ordered the chicken shawarma wrap - delicious. The garlic sauce wasn't overbearing, and the pickle and crunch was so good. Fries were crispy and fresh, and the side of hummus had a nice consistency and tang that was addicting. Plus, the staff was very friendly. Only thing to be aware of - cash only.

This place is so so good. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and totally affordable. In fact, this place is very much in the running for best value food in Seattle.

My husband and I love the flatbread pizzas!!! Baked to order. Fresh ingredients. Cool huge fire oven. Delicious and savory! Must try! Everything on the menu looks fresh and yummy. Very Clean restaurant and beautiful dinning room. Causal and comfortable vibe. We drove all the way from Thurston county was worth the drive!!

Parking: Park in the market back parking lot and walk to front of restaurant.
