We waited quite a bit before getting seated and getting our order taken. I felt sorry for the two staff that were working as the bar tender and waiter, they were running their behinds off. The bar tender was managing the bar and delivering room service. Our waiter was the hostess and waiter for the entire dining room which wasn't very big, but there was a very large table of 8 people and several small tables of 2-4 guest and getting room service gigs ready to be delivered....
Tbh idk how this place got this much hate cause our experience was more than solid. Our server Paolo took care of us well and were sat immediately despite being in the middle of dinner rush time. Food came out fast and the portions were huge. The berry portion of the club hit different and made it all worth it. Probably wouldn't have been able to finish the single dish by itself so glad I had the Mrs to half with. The carbonara was amazing as well and for most places we go...
I attended a Hong Kong Trade Association reception the other day and was impressed with dining room and bar seating area. The female bartender was a delight to be served by and the restaurant manger helped keep the room clear of abandon cup & dishes. Kudos to him. They staff worked together as a team to make the experience enjoyable for the large group that gathered in there. I can't wait to go back to the Margaux!
