I randomly went here with a friend and it was delicious! I had the spiced lamb tagine and it was so good. I'd definitely go back the next time I'm in Seattle!

Right off the bat, we were greeted as family even though it was our first time there. Aziz was so gracious and sweet as he welcomed us and recommended dishes to try. The food was fantastic and flavorful and I would rate Marrakesh 6 stars out of 5, if I could.

It’s a hit or a miss. But when it’s a hit, it’s really good!
The place looks nice but the food was so bad. First salad and soup came no salt in the soup. Ordered the grilled platter and it was so bad looked like they microwaved the meat so cold chewy and not tasty at all. Rice was so little just at the base of the plate. When I told the waiter that I couldn’t eat it he said he would never recommend that. He said it as though he knew how bad the food was. Did offer to get something else but even my friends food that I tried was horrible. Never coming back.

We had a Groupon for the three course meal for two. The food was bland - not salty, not spicy, not anything. The bread is kept in a dirty basket with tongs that felt oily when I touched them.
The thing that really pisses me off though is that they charge tax and THEY DECIDE THE TIP based on the full price of the meal, not the Groupon price. What we thought was a good deal for two people turned out to be about $80 in total.
It felt like a scam.
The service was good and they were very polite, but we will not be back solely based on the tip scam.
EDIT TO REPLY TO OWNER:
1. Length of time in business does not equal quality. Perhaps it used to be high quality or perhaps you had a bad night when I was there. Either way, own up to what happened for my personal experience with a professional attitude instead of leaning on the years of service.
2. I never said 80 dollars extra. I said “total.” Actually, it was more than that. The final cost ended up being almost double the Groupon.
3. When I buy something on sale in a store, I pay taxes on the sale price, not the original price. It feels like you charge taxes based on the original menu price as a scam.
— I have never been to a restaurant with a Groupon where the staff determine how much I tip.
4. Your response to my review guarantees my word of mouth non-recommendation for your establishment and that I will never personally return.

Be careful. I went to this restaurant twice — once with Groupon and once without it — and I feel like I got scammed.
They add the tip by themselves and take advantage of the tipping culture here. The food quality is also extremely bad.
If you use Groupon, don’t expect a real discount. They will charge tax and tip based on their full price, not the amount you actually paid on Groupon.
The truth is, their food quality is not good for the price, and I hate the way they handle tipping.

The hospitality of the place is out of this world! 🥺 Aziz was so incredibly welcoming. We were definitely treated like old friends, and spent three hours there just taking out time, sipping on wine and tea. He was so friendly that he even gifted us a whole bottle of Moroccan wine after opening it for two glasses. The food was good and it’s definitely a great deal to get so much food and all the courses for $30-40. Great to come with a group of friends and just enjoy your time!

The service was absolutely incredible and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.
One of my favorite restaurants of all time. The food is exceptional. Everything tastes fresh authentic and homemade. The portions are very generous and one price includes multiple courses which makes it feel like a special feast. To top it off the atmosphere and traditional presentation of the meal transports you to a far off land. And on certain nights they have a wonderful bellydance show. Such a fantastic evening for a very reasonable price. 10 out of 10!!
