Our go-to sushi place in the next block (Azuma) being closed, we went here. The food was fairly good, but not as good as Azuma; the failure to provide additional wasabi would have been fine if the sushi was well-spiced, but it was somewhat on the bland side for our liking. And this place is ridiculously priced. $14+ for two pieces of nigiri? That's crazy. It ended up costing almost $300 (plus a credit card surcharge) for three of us, and that was for a not particularly...
We thoroughly enjoyed the Okina O Shiri experience with a variety of Sake pairings. Every dish was delectable, and well explained. Mariah is a true artisan, and the entire team is an absolute delight. Mariah-San, thank you for an incredible evening (I’ll be dreaming about that okra and octopus for a long time to come)!
We loved Mashiko. Every single thing we ordered was phenomenal and the sustainability first approach makes the experience that much better. Our sever was knowledgeable, super easy going and everything he recommended was delicious. I’ll be going back for the Omakase very soon.
