Mecca Cafe Reviews
The whole vibe in there was amazing! Awesome service, and coming from deep southern mountains of South Carolina, they put their whole backs into cooking the food! Absolutely without a doubt they are invited to the cookout! We will definitely be eating here when we come back to Seattle! One of the best breakfasts I have ever had!
They just payed out $325k to employees to settle a class action lawsuit which alleged they were not allowing breaks and paying under minimum wage.
Best Diner Around! Great Food and Staff!

Mecca Cafe is a historic family-friendly restaurant serving big, coarse breakfasts since 1929. Known for its classic breakfast options, it offers customizable omelets and delicious Rubens sandwiches, with the chicken fried steak being a must-try, served generously with hash browns, eggs, and toast. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting, making it a great spot for a hearty morning meal with the family. The service is attentive and friendly, and the food towers on the plate, making every dish look as delicious as it tastes. Recently, improvements in service have been noted, with the staff putting their whole backs into cooking the food. It has a solid lower Queen Anne diner/pseudo dive bar atmosphere, perfect for those who want a casual, fun spot without the rush. Reviewers praise it as a dive bar diner, often ranking it among the best in Seattle, alongside its sibling, 5 Point Cafe. The relaxed environment, complemented by a jukebox, creates a perfect setting to enjoy a satisfying breakfast or brunch with friends and family. The massive menu, great coffee, and friendly staff contribute to its reputation as a favorite diner in the city.
