Mendoza's Mexican Mercado

So delightful! Fresh meats, salsas, cheeses, grocery items, deli with home cooked rice and beans and meats (different everyday) So good! I bought some things for my ofrenda (altar) as well. The owner is a sweet woman who you can tell takes pride in bringing mexico to seattle. Stopped here for lunch -- guisado plate for me, tamales for my companions. The food was great and our hosts were super friendly, answering questions and making suggestions. There isn't a ton of seating, maybe room for 16 or so people (a guess, I didn't count), but you can get food to go.

I recently moved to the neighborhood, and this was one of the first markets and restaurants we tried, and it made such a great first impression.

Sonya (the owner) and Carlos (the manager) were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. They made us feel at home right away, which meant a lot as newcomers to the area.
