I’ve sampled coffee from all over the west coast. This is by far what I would call the gold standard for third wave coffee shops. It’s been around for quite some time now and hasn’t deviated from its original mission: to make a perfectly extracted cup of coffee from the best hand selected roasters. Yes there are other shops that may top it in extras (pastries, food etc) but this is for those that are seeking the best cup of coffee out there.
Coffee is good but there are some layout problems. There should be a menu station when you walk in at the beginning of the line; the only opportunity to look at the menu is when you’re at the register, which is frustrating. Additionally, the pastries aren’t visible while waiting - more difficult to remedy but if a layout change happens that could be addressed.
