Used to love Mod Pizza and what they stood for. I was craving it so bad today and they had almost had it all ready for me. When I got to the register the total was $17.08. I left the house so quick and only had cash because I left my wallet at home. They wouldn’t accept my $20.00 cash due to there non-cash policy. I’m sad my mouth was watering when I walked in- Didn’t feel like the human thing to do but also not really there fault lol. Then it was like maybe the universe wanted me not to eat those calories but damn keep the whole $20 let me eat it’s almost cooked! Felt a little rude of them. Settled for a burrito at Taco Del Mar across the street. Now we got a pizza that’s going to get thrown away and a man that left your place with his mouth watering.
P.S I’ll remind myself to erase this review in a couple weeks not my style to leave low reviews. Especially when technically it was a policy thing.

A little heavy feeling. Kind of ominous wood and metal that didn't quite meld. The food and service was great. Maybe a little more understanding for the customer that isn't familiar with the menu.

Good pizza and friendly staff! I usually order online which is super convenient. But unfortunately, there are usually at least one or two mistakes in the order. The staff always offers to remake it, which I appreciate, but at that point I don't want to wait so I just accept it as is.
I'd love to see a little more attention to detail from the staff, but the unlimited toppings and custom salads make MOD one of my go-tos in Ballard.

I went to a counter and asked for my name for pickup. The guy totally ignored me, and I had to wait for 3 more customers (white males). After them, I asked again for my order, he gave me the box which was already there before those customers. Horrible service.

Really slow service. Been to many Mods and this one just doesn’t have it. Workers are so slow it ruins the whole idea of fast casual pizza. Single point of failure with the guy that starts pizzas. Also the skimp hard on cheese. Bare spots on the pizza with no cheese

The food is always great at Mod, but this location was terrible. The customer service woman was very rude and it significantly dampened the customer experience. She was a dark skinned woman with dreadlocks, wearing green. She almost refused to acknowledge us while we ordered, and didn’t even say our name when our food was ready, we had to go up and ask if it was ready multiple times. And she acted angry when we did.
I’ve worked in restaurants, but there’s never been any need to be that rude.

Mods in Ballard has gone downhill with service. The staff used to be fun and friendly. Today, both people working there were grumpy! It’s a quick and easy lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy but decent. I do like the outdoor seating!
Advertises open until 11… at 10:30 door is closed and they’re cleaning up. Update your hours - people rely on that
