Really slow service. Been to many Mods and this one just doesn’t have it. Workers are so slow it ruins the whole idea of fast casual pizza. Single point of failure with the guy that starts pizzas. Also the skimp hard on cheese. Bare spots on the pizza with no cheese

The food is always great at Mod, but this location was terrible. The customer service woman was very rude and it significantly dampened the customer experience. She was a dark skinned woman with dreadlocks, wearing green. She almost refused to acknowledge us while we ordered, and didn’t even say our name when our food was ready, we had to go up and ask if it was ready multiple times. And she acted angry when we did.
I’ve worked in restaurants, but there’s never been any need to be that rude.

Mods in Ballard has gone downhill with service. The staff used to be fun and friendly. Today, both people working there were grumpy! It’s a quick and easy lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy but decent. I do like the outdoor seating!

Built my own pizza at MOD Pizza Ballard with cauliflower crust and unlimited toppings—so good! Crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and fast, friendly service. MOD Pizza never disappoints. Great spot for a quick, customizable meal!

You CANNOT beat MOD for the money. Staff there is friendly and fast and for the life of me it makes no sense that their No Name cakes are as good as they are!

Loved Mod pizza and the staff was very nice and swift in the service.
I had a very disappointing experience at MOD Pizza from the moment I interacted with the staff. The girl working there was clearly in a bad mood and took it out on me.
I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza, and when she added the sauce, she barely spread any, as if she didn’t want to do it. Still, I let it go. Then, I asked for a little bit of garlic and basil, but she threw a whole handful of garlic onto the pizza, completely ruining it. Even though I was already frustrated, I politely asked her to add more sauce to balance out the flavor. She rolled her eyes and reluctantly did it in the worst way possible.
When it was time to add cheese, she sprinkled so little that I had to ask for more. Again, she reacted with a bad attitude. At that point, I lost all interest in continuing to build my pizza and told her to just leave it as it was—I no longer wanted it.
How am I supposed to pay for something that was being made poorly from the start, with such a bad attitude? It’s not fair.
Honestly, MOD Pizza should reconsider hiring staff who actually enjoy their job and care about customer service. This experience completely turned me off, and I won’t be coming back.
Btw she was wearing military pants and a hat This was monday march 17 / 2025.

So very disappointing! Was really looking forward to a vegan pizza tonight. Have been to many MOD pizzas, and it was very vegan friendly! This one was crazy! Watching employees grab dead animal parts with their gloved hands and others with utensils. Then using the same gloved hand or utensils to grab veggies. I guess cross contamination is not a concern at this place! Watching a couple of employees literally throwing cows milk cheese into salad bowls and on pizzas. They got cheese all over the counter, in other containers, and in the sauce! Definitely don't feel safe eating here!

If you come during a Friday night in person, plan to wait in line 30 minutes before being able to order while they put all the online orders in front of you. Love this place but waiting 45 minutes for a pizza when only 2 groups were in front of you is just ridiculous. Will have to go to another location next time. Customers in person should be priority if not at least take our order every other online order.
