The ambiance was nice but busy. It was a Saturday night and though we had reservations which were set a month in advance we were informed that we had only 1 1/2 hour at our table which I have never experience before. This put a rushed and unpleasant spin on our evening as we felt like we were pressed for time and could not enjoy our meal as much. The acoustics are bad so it was very loud and hard to carry on a conversation. My entre of short ribs was very good but my husband ordered the King crab and it was dry and overcooked. The staff was overbooked so not as attentive as I think they should have been to our table.

Sadly, momiji just isn't as good as it used to be. They also did not serve actual belly of the fish despite that was what was ordered.

The food, atmosphere and service is all amazing! My only gripe is that you are limited to a 2-hour dinner, seems ridiculous especially when you are still ordering food and cocktails. Being reminded that we reached our table limit when we still had food to eat threw me off.

My friend and I went for happy hour. They gave us edamame to start. The grilled garlic short ribs and agedashi tofu were delicious! The “Don’t Lychee to Me” cocktail was lovely though I wish it was a bit larger 😅 We didn’t love the crunchy Seattle or the Spicy tuna roll as much. The spicy tuna roll consists of tuna and sauce mushed up instead of a piece of tuna so it was different from what I was expecting texture wise.
