Overall it was a very nice experience, food was good but there is room for improvement; some dishes were better than others, restaurant feels very dated in its decor and food presentation in the dish is very basic. The servers are all outstanding and very friendly.
We always enjoy eating at Nells; the food is delicious and the atmosphere quiet and subdued so you can carry on a conversation at your table. The menu changes regularly but there are always a few favorites that remain, like the onion tart! Excellent wine list as well.
Went for New Year's Eve for the pre fixe meal. It was annoying that a couple of the options were additional costs. I didn't care for the chocolate banana dessert but my biggest complaint is that we felt very rushed. A $500 dinner should last more than an hour and 15 minutes. No breaks in between courses. Our waiter did seem annoyed that I ordered a non alcoholic beverage too. Not everyone drinks alcohol! I would have ordered a fancy mocktail but there were none on the...
