Nell's is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. It feels like a time capsule from 20 years ago. The food is great and I really love the Smoking Gun cocktail. I hope this place never changes.

Incredible dinner with too many good choices! Starters were the carrot ginger soup- a fresh tasting vegan potage perfectly seasoned and the other we had was a thinly sliced orange salad with fennel, parmesan and more delectable ingredients. Risotto was next with ample tender mushrooms in the flavorful rice/cheese base-best in the City. With the red wine we both chose, the rack of lamb that was juicy, fresh (not gamey)and surrounded by delicious turnips. We almost could not eat...
