Baristas at this location are never friendly or helpful. Unfortunate as the coffee is pretty good.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere here—it's a perfect location for slowing down and savoring a well-crafted coffee. I opted for the espresso flight, which featured their 'Sweetheart' and 'Big Truck' blends side-by-side. While the Big Truck was bold and robust, the brighter, more delicate notes of the Sweetheart blend won me over. A fantastic way to appreciate the subtleties of their espresso.

The hazelnut black sesame latte was so well executed!! As a specialty latte connoisseur I was doubtful of how the flavors would blend together however it ended up being well balanced, didn’t taste artificial and so delicious. The place brought it so much natural light and my heart lit up at the ”feed Gaza” flyers. love a cafe with a conscience

I ordered the Turmeric ginger chai latte during my first visit and it was FABULOUS! I wish we had one closer to us. I also bought a bag of coffee to bring home and it is amazing and so fresh.

Tasty coffee and the pastries complement nicely. Had hazelnut sesame with oatmilk, delicious. The only negative was the flies in the middle buzzing around the cafe, slightly annoying. Service was very friendly.

One of our favorite go to coffee places in Seattle. Espressos and regularly high quality, especially by American standards, and the cappuccinos are well crafted and don’t require sugar to be palatable, which is a rarity in the US.

Definitely check this place out if you like good coffee, and even if you’re just looking for a place to buy high quality beans.

A Soulful Surprise in Columbia City — Where Community and Jazz Collide

I stepped out for a breath of fresh air during a break from my wellness work just above Rookies in Columbia City, seeking a moment to reset from the stillness I often create for others. As I strolled toward my neighborhood BECU, something unexpected stopped me mid-step—music.

The sound of live jazz, rich and full, poured into the street like medicine for the spirit. It wasn’t just background sound—it was a feeling. Olympic Coffee Roasting had transformed into a living soundscape, hosting Jazz Night School for a fundraiser that not only lifted notes into the air, but raised the vibration of the entire block.

In a world that often forgets the magic of gathering, this was a moment that reminded me why I chose this community. Here, art is not separate from healing, and music is not separate from movement. Businesses collaborate, uplift, and show up for something greater than themselves.

I returned to my space—with my hands ready to serve and my heart refilled.

Thank you, Olympic Coffee, for anchoring beauty, rhythm, and togetherness in our neighborhood. What you hosted wasn’t just an event—it was a frequency shift. People from across the world should know: Columbia City is where spirit, culture, and community unite.

Sunday 8/16/25 at 3:45PM. Horribly entitled baristas, they glared and huffed at us from the moment we smiled and walked through the door! Rolling eyes, making snide comments under their breath, giving attitude for no reason! I couldn’t hear very well so I asked her politely to repeat what she said and got a “Nevermind” and a huff in response. We ordered quickly and got out of the way as it seemed clear we were not wanted anywhere near the counter. I wanted to order another drink but decided not to so as to avoid interacting with them. Beware.

The iced matcha latte is to die for at Olympia Coffee. Black Lives Matter sign posted outside, oh don't mind if I do...I am at the right place. The establishment was clean, the staff was kind and there was not a long wait at all. My only suggestion is that I would like to see more Black and people of color workers!

If you want a delicious snack, check out the marionberry pastry. Not too sweet but hits the spot! I hope you enjoy your experience as much as I did.

Olympia roasting is great. Not only are the baristas skilled, but the whole bean selection is great. Service is friendly and blazing fast. My favorite decaf for an evening cafe au lait is their Decaf Asterisk.

Olympia Coffee is hands-down one of the best coffee roasters in the PNW. These folks don’t just make coffee, they craft it. Every cup is a masterclass in flavor, precision, and care.

Their espresso is consistently rich and velvety, with just the right amount of brightness. Whether you’re sipping a classic Americano or diving into one of their seasonal drinks (which are always creative and never overly sweet), you can tell they take sourcing and roasting seriously. The depth of flavor is unreal.

The baristas? Knowledgeable, friendly, and always down to talk shop if you’re curious about beans or brew methods. And if you’re into home brewing, their retail selection of beans is top-tier fresh, traceable, and roasted to perfection.
