The vibes at this restaurant were great, very open and nice during the summer time. Best menu item we had was the hand-cut fries they were incredibly crispy and came out hot! Otherwise the sides are decent, we tried the mac & cheese and collard greens and potato salad. We had the platter which allowed for a variety of meats but everything had little flavor and almost no smoke which was very odd for a BBQ joint. Not sure what the smoking process is but the flavor is just not...
Took dad for Father’s Day and we got the pitmaster tray. Food was really good poppy seed slaw was a big favorite, unfortunately the only thing that lacked was the brisket. The one thing I always look forward to most at a BBQ place. Everything well seasoned and we all enjoyed but hard to see the “star” brisket be dry, hopefully we just got unlucky with the cuts we recieved. We will be back.
I spent 3 years in Houston where I met my wife. We had our rehearsal dinner in San Antonio at Pinkerton’s. As an amateur pitmaster, I have to say Outsider BBQ is the best BBQ in Seattle. Do yourself a favor and try everything so that you can train your palate.
