Great service, excellent cocktails, inventive food and a classic burger with hot crispy fries. A longtime Seattle institution for good reason. Here's to another 29 years!
We enjoyed the food. Three of us shared two appetizers, mini fondue and blistered shishito peppers, both were very good. The entrees two Black Cods and one Pork cheeks were also good as was the coconut cream pie dessert. Service was excellent. We would definitely be back.
What was not to love? I walked in here on a rainy Friday night hoping for a table for two to celebrate a friend's birthday and they set me up with a reservation right away after getting shut down by two other nearby restaurants. Neither of us had been before but I was convinced it would be a fit after just a few minutes in the door.
Picked up my friend from work and headed back about an hour after setting up the reservation and was sat immediately even though we were early. Our server was along within minutes of being sat and we ordered drinks, me a Martini and my friend off the menu and our server gave us some time with the menu for apps and entrees. An appropriate amount of time later the drinks arrived and we put in an order of the blistered shishito peppers for an app.
The drinks were perfect and the peppers came out fairly quickly. My friend committed to the French onion soup and I was unsure but despite the server offering us more time I was drawn to the pork chop. The peppers were the perfect app, so tasty so many flavors and the sauce on the side let us vary each bite to our personal preferences.
The entrees were served (with another Martini because why not) and our socks were blown fully off. The soup was some of the richest most indulgent French onion I've ever tasted and my pork chop was served to perfection, thoroughly cooked but juicy and tender served on a bed of grits. I meant to take a picture of the presentation but was too enraptured to stop eating even for a second.
Because it was a celebration I convinced my friend to go in for desert and we each got a glass of port, one of each on the menu, and a serving of the apple Gelato (? I might be wrong, it wasn't ice cream) and I had affogato, a personal favorite of mine. The ports were excellent but the affogato blew me away, a perfect ending to a wonderful night.
At the end our server presented us with the check and graciously waived our deserts as if to say she had clocked in on it being a special occasion despite that I hadn't had the chance to tell her. Thank you so much to the kitchen and staff of Palace Kitchen for a truly memorable night, I will absolutely be back.

Every single dish was prepared perfectly. Very high skill cooking with robust flavor profiles. Collard greens were superb. Perfect lobster mushrooms. Juicy, flaky trout, tender hanger steak. I have eaten at many high end tasting menu restaurants such as Providence and Spagos in LA, Wmerils in New Orleans, Charlie Trotters in Chicago back in the day, and Mori Moto's in Philadelphia, and this Seattle gem blew me away as it was so unexpected.
Such a cozy restaurant, perfect for a cold Fall evening. Excellent location for theatre and movies post dinner. Seattle Restaurant Week menu was surprisingly affordable and so were happy hour drinks! Nice little birthday touches were included. Excellent service. We'll be back!
We always enjoy Palace Kitchen. We have been there frequently enough to feel it is a special place. Whenever we make reservations we are assigned the same table. We really appreciate this. It makes it extra special. We have never had a bad experience. Hope to return soon!
Fondue 10/10. Rotating menu. Previous menu I thought was better but the new one had great options as well. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.
Everything about our experience was wonderful. We were celebrating an anniversary, so they made it very special by seating us in a quiet area, mentioning the occasion, and comping our dessert. The focaccia bread was amazing, the port chop was the best we've ever tasted and the vibe in the restaurant was perfect for us: busy, but romantic lighting and soothing music. I highly recommend the Palace Kitchen if you find yourself in Seattle!
Quiet night at the Palace... Mariners were playing across town. Just a pleasant evening and good food. Squash fritters were too sweet for me, but the hangar steak was spot on!
Outstanding yet again! The hostess, chief, bartender and of course Jo were once again too notch! The General Manager has an outstanding team in place. One of my top 5 Restaurants in Seattle!

The restaurant is tired. There is no sense of consistency in the menu. The server we had was close to mute and awkward. The actual food was average to poor at best and expensive as expected. No need to ever return.
Celebrated a birthday at the Palace Kitchen and was seated in a booth. Literally the best burger we've ever had. And we loved the giant croutons with the salad. Restaurant lighting is a little dark but overall a great experience. Fabulous service. They comped the dessert and placed a candle on it for our birthday celebrant. Thanks Palace Kitchen for a memorable experience!
We were seated promptly and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was delicious and they helped one in our party celebrate their birthday with a lighted cake. Excellent evening.
The oysters were some of the best I've ever had and I've been to a lot of sea ports on the east and west coast and only got close to these at Neptune Oyster in Boston. The cod in shellfish broth was also outstanding as was the burrata. The cocktails were all based of a large mural painting on the wall which was super cool and also very good. Overall great experience
Wonderful corner table by the window, delicious interesting & creative food, personable staff. A lovely, memorable experience.
