Delicious pasta at Pike Place. We tried the fettuccine with tuna. It was cooked in olive oil, cherry tomatoes, and capers. The pasta was cooked the right way, al dente, and I can now see why they call tuna the chicken of the sea since it tastes like I was eating chicken breast. We went during lunch, so it was crowded. Luckily, there's some seating downstairs. I can see why they're popular, as I would go back to try their other dishes.
Casalinga is tucked away on the mezzanine level of Pike Place Market. The pasta is made fresh daily, and the menu changes weekly, so there’s always something new to try. Menu includes a veggie option. The staff is very courteous and welcoming. Seating is limited, but the food is excellent and is well worth a visit.
Best when eaten hot and fresh like most things but I feel that goes double for this place. The menu is rotating so for locals that keeps it fresh, which is something i appreciate. Another thing I appreciate is that despite a rotating menu there are always some familiar faces upon it, and old reliable you can always fall back on.
