It's a family run place and on my most recent visit, my food was ready in 15 mins when I called to place the order for takeout, which was perfect timing for me to run out to pick it up and bring it back home still hot. My husband enjoyed it so much he said it was the best Vietnamese he's ever had (normally he prefers Thai to Vietnamese so this was a big statement)! He ordered the #37 (Grilled Pork Bún), and I got the #46 (Bún tôm nớng chả giò) - Grilled Shrimp, Egg Rolls and Rice Vermicelli - which has become my go-to order from Pho Hai Yen. It's light and refreshing with the veggies and vermicelli, yet savory thanks to the egg roll, grilled shrimp and sauce that comes with it. Highly recommend supporting this local spot next time you're in the mood for yummy Vietnamese! Seems like their hours have adjusted to only being only open on Friday-Sunday as of recently.

I tried their pork bahn me and pho in two different occasions while staying with our friend in the area. Both times, we ordered to go over the phone and picked it up later. Food was great both times. I took one star off due to very long wait even though we ordered over the phone, food was not ready on time both times. It would be great if they can give more realistic time estimates.

DELICIOUS food and really casual, comfortable atmosphere. I've never had trouble with their service until today. They must have just been understaffed. It took about 50 minutes for my food to be served, and all I had ordered was a veggie pho and egg rolls. Meanwhile, a couple sitting nearby waited for over 20 minutes for their order to be taken. A family sitting nearby waited for their food for about an hour. I was pretty shocked. But I could tell they were getting a lot of phone orders, takeout orders, and were super short staffed. I'm hoping that tonight was just a one-time negative experience, because the food is great and I love coming here.

Their bun bo hue is the most vile excuse for food I've ever had. There is no beef flank (instead just tiny bits of pho meat) and I swear the meatballs are over 50% cheap bread. Vietnamese meatballs are supposed to have some bread but all I could smell when they came to my lips was bread. Even the broth is disgusting - like poor quality fermented fish, and I like fermented fish! The only thing that was good was the pig knuckle. Never again!
