I love this place in Pike Place Market. Always a line when you come here, but don’t be intimidated - get in line, because the line moves pretty quickly. The food in here is always good. My favorite is clam chowder and crab roll. Seriously, they have the best crab roll. Sometimes, if they have lobster in their market chowder, give it a try because it’s so good. The only downside is that seating is a little bit hard to find.
Always the best chowder! Usually we park in the target ramp and walk over to Pike place. This place always has a line but it’s quick and fast. Sitting is limited but usually you can get a table and your friends don’t always have to eat their food, you are allowed to bring other food to seat down.
The line looked long but moved quickly. The staff was pleasant and helpful. One server found us a table outside. I ordered a special chowder and I don’t recall the name. I think it had shrimp and scallops in it. It was very good. But my friend who got the traditional New England clam chowder let me try hers and it was fantastically flavorful with clams and potatoes. If I returned, I would try a sampler and get four different flavors of chowder. But I also think it would be great...
