OVERVIEW: This is an ecclectic boutique hotel located in Seattle. Conveniently located within walking distance of Downtown, the Waterfront, Pikes Market & Belltown. While I had a rental car, I found myself walking most places. There's an advantage to this as it allows you to get the feel for the neighborhoods and experience more. I have been to Seattle numerous times, specifically this area as well. However there were glass blowing shops, retail stores, coffee shops and other single-owned businesses that I have otherwise missed when driving the area and due to having to pay closer attention to traffic and less of the scenery. LOCATION: The location is perfect. Located on the Metrolink, within walking distance of downtown, the pier, the waterfront, the space needle, and any coffee shop you coukd want to go to. A convenient location that is extremely walkable and safe during both the daytime and evening hours. INTERIOR: Tastefully brightly colored. Lobby with an easily accessible and friendly front desk. Elevators are adjacent to the lobby. They have a Fitness facility, a small kitchen area, a small bar area, and very comfortable seating in the lobby. I came during Christmas, and it was wonderfully decorated to include reindeer, a tree, and a surprise. Find the elf every night and win a complimentary gift. I won the last night I was here and was extremely thrilled with the cup, hot chocolate, cake pop, and complimentary beverage coupons. This is an encouraging environment in which to have fun with an air hockey table, multiple board games, puzzles, and a Pac-Man video game old school. And yes, I did observe several people over my 4-day stay that did partake in the fun and games. It was a very relaxed environment. PARKING: There are three options for parking. You can use the underground parking which is secure and very convenient. You can park on the outdoor top deck, which I did as well. Or you can choose street parking which I do not advise. Parking is at this time of the review $42 a night. It is well worth it. There is no valet option, but you really don't need it. There is a covered overhang that is more than adequate for four vehicles in case it should be inclement weather by your arrival or departure. When you depart, please keep in mind that it is a left turn only. You are pulling onto a one-way street. LODGING: Upon arrival you receive a spacious room with a queen size bed or two double beds and option of one bathtub or a shower and an air conditioning unit and usually a view of either the city or the monorail. I chose the city and was very pleasantly surprised the rooms were quiet. I did run the air conditioner fan just for white noise and slept like a baby. There is a small chair with an ottoman in the room as well as a very large screen TV and a huge desk. The room was extremely clean. I did not find the usual dust bunnies or hair anywhere within the room or bathroom. COMPLIMENTARY: You receive unlimited free bottled water & coffee. In addition, they have complimentary pineapple infused water, which was quite tasty. They do have additional beverages and snacks for purchase. They offer complimentary umbrellas for use on those inclement weather days. They are colorful and large, making it easier for your visibility. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Outstanding. I dont say that lightly, I measure this based upon my previous stays at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills Hotel, Intercontinental, Four Seasons, and Fairmont Brands to mention a few. Service with the front desk was professional, personalized & knowledgeable about the area. While checking you in, they treat you as if they are a concierge. You don't feel rushed. They answer any and all questions you have and make you feel very welcome. They have an "Everything" button on your telephone that was answered by the third ring . . . Every time. CONCLUSION: Will I be back? The question is, WHEN will I be back.

Great little hotel conveniently located in downtown Seattle. Wonderful friendly staff, they were very helpful with recommendations on local eateries and other advice. Very pet friendly as well! Room was clean and comfortable, I think we got some of the best sleep we've had in a while.

My wife carefully researched a good place to stay for three days while we were in Seattle, prior to going on a cruise. After checking availability, we picked Staypineapple. It was a good move as this was a fun place to be. We wanted a centrally located spot and this really worked well. We were in between Pike's Market, The Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum and other local spots like the Starbucks Roastery. The room was a comfortable size with one huge window. A good size bathroom and shower with nice hot water and good size towels. I really liked the idea of free water that is kept in the refrigerator in the lobby and everyone gets a coupon for one free alcoholic or "other type" of beverage. They definitely do it right here. All these good things and a reasonable room rate. The beds were comfortable but... I prefer a thinner blanket. It's really a good quality bed and bedding just not what I was used to. Not a horrible problem. Room was clean and team was fabulous helping us get around while also making suggestions for local eateries. We had a short walk to the dock to catch our cruise. We expected a 20-30 minute walk but it was actually 10 minutes and that was also while dragging luggage. This is a great spot and I happily recommend this place if your coming into Seattle. Kudos to the team at Staypineapple - Hotel FIVE - Downtown Seattle

This was a lovely stay. The room was ready early, everything was easy to follow for checking in/out and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was so comfy we didn't want to leave. Next time we are going to bring our dog:)

I chose this Seattle hotel for its location. It's close enough to public transit that we took the train from the airport and then walked the rest of the way. We also took the train to an erykah badu concert and the international district. We walked to both the space needle and pike, and easily ubered to other areas in the city. The hotel is a great place to be for the pride parade which we happened to see by chance. It's not on the route but very close. The hotel itself has a cute theme and welcoming lobby- lots of places to sit, games, pineapple water, and cookies at the right time of the afternoon. The staff was great. The building is old but remodeled. Old elevators, old hallways, old windows. The beds were new and cozy. The robes were great. To me this felt like a 2 star hotel with 5 star service- but the service and location made it a great experience.

Had stayed here for 3 nights as we explored Seattle downtown. The location is 10-17 mins walking for most of the popular attractions within the city. The staff are all very friendly but special shout-out to Jaeson for the amazing service and the level of professionalism that he exhibited! He went above and beyond every time he assisted us and is extremely knowledgeable of the city. I highly recommend this hotel to stay in if you are ever in the Seattle downtown area purely based on the location and all of our interactions with Jaeson! This hotel is very lucky to have him.

We stayed here for four nights while visiting Seattle. The location was fantastic, literally walking distance to most places we visited. However, the rooms had no sound proofing whatsoever! It felt like people were in our room at all hours of the night (busiest time-loudest times were after midnight). When someone showered you heard the water, as if it were in your room. Mornings you heard the cleaning people talking loudly. It looks as if it was an old hotel that was remodeled to look new. There was no rail to hold onto to get into the tub. The shampoo and body wash were very nice smelling, but the conditioner was completely water. The robes looked dirty, so we left them hanging. The bar and food were never open, when we were in the lobby, only a refrigerator with items. The towels were very nice and so were the pillows and duvets. They have umbrellas and bikes to use.I have asthma and people sat outside the front entrance doors smoking cigarettes and pot. No other way in/out of the building-I especially did not like this. The guy we checked in with barely said a word to us, and I was overcharged $200. (Found out later, it was the security deposit. Why couldn't he mention this when we were checking in? )However, the woman at the check-in counter, when getting our free drinks was extremely nice. I appreciate that you have until noon to check out.Reviews had mentioned free shuttle-there wasn't one (Lyft minimum charge was $10) and dog bags/luggage tags/cookies-we didn't receive anything like this.

Pros: It's a really cute place to stay decorated with pineapples. They have a fun little game room in the lobby. Close by the Moore theater which is where we were going to an event that night. Cons: Crunchy bathrobes which is weird because this hotel is advertised as cozy. You will get charged an fee of around $28 for amenities which is NOT optional. The amenities as they were explain to me is for unlimited bottled water, one drink per guest can be alcoholic or nonalcoholic, and unlimited coffee in your hotel. We didn't find out about the fee until we got home. Fun place but won't be staying at any of the pineapples hotels in the future. You live and you learn I guess.

The room was very comfortable. Bed, duvet and sheets were amazing. Really great after a long flight. I know it is advertised but the incidental fee is large and the free water/coffee just doesn't make up for it. Location wise - great for the Space Needle and was fine during the day. At night to get to bars/restaurants you have to walk down some pretty sketchy roads between 2nd and 3rd - we witnessed 2 (quite serious) crimes, someone actually pooing on the street and lots of drug addicts. I live and work in central London and feel significantly safer there! I recommend taxi's, not walking at night irrespective of short distances. Staff were lovely and friendly, happy to recommend places. The hotel itself would probably get 4 stars, but based on the location and feeling of unease, down a star.

We wanted to stay somewhere other than a chain hotel for our trip to Seattle, first time in the U.S. in some time. Stay Pineapple looked nice and clean, fun theme, great location and lots of good reviews, so we chose it. Hotel was in a great location, easy walk smack dab in the middle of the touristy sites, so easy to walk everywhere. Room was really nice and clean, staff were great and a minor maintenance issue was fixed ASAP. To be upfront, I knew there was an amenity fee and parking was extra, but checking my Expedia booking it said all fees had been prepaid with the booking, and provided an extra breakdown on my invoice below the total room cost. I even pointed this out on check in and the hostess at that time acknowledged it. We checkout out after 3 nights and in checking out I was informed that I had to pay the amenity fee and parking. I showed my Expedia booking and I was told by the host, then the manager that that fee was solely collected by Expedia for their use of promoting the hotel. I argued this, then was told it was a city tourism tax of 15%. When I pointed out that their math made no sense in regards to the room charge, I was then told that it was another service fee. Then I found out that the hotel charged a 10% service fee on the parking, on top of the city tax of 15%, for a total of over 25% in taxes and fees! So overall, value just not there, and no transparency about where my money went. I was told the amenity fee covered bottle water, our welcome drink and WI-FI…but I feel like $28 US is pretty steep for even that. No breakfast (even though the facilities exist, they cited COVID as the excuse, which is kinda old), no cafe (again the espresso machine is set up in the corner of the lobby, so it could be possible) and I got a total charge of $330 ish once converted to Canadian currency on my credit card upon returning home, almost the cost of another nights stay. I did follow up with Expedia and saw that the amenity fee has been changed, but free breakfast is still advertised. Maybe the chain hotel option may be more cost effective in the future, which is too bad…

The room is nice, the hotel is good situated in the middle of Seattle. But….we have been there for three nights. And we had to pay for taxes 45 a night. When we left the hotel, we asked if we payed everything. Yes, we did! When we ware at home, the hotel takes $86, again. The reason is for some cookies in plastic, water with pineapple and free wifi. But the wifi didn’t work. We discussed this with the manager, but they refused to refund the money. We will never again go this hotel because they are confusing with their rates.

The amenities fee of $24. per day is not worth it. One complimentary beverage and coffee and water not worth the money! Also there is no housekeeping until after your second day. We had to request new bath linens and garbage cans were overflowing. For the price I would expect daily cleaning as well as replenishing coffee /cups in the room. The promised cookies were gone as fast as they were put out. They might hand them out from front desk to make sure they are available. It was an average experience.

I stayed here for 4 nights while in town for business. Positives were the room was clean, I liked the vibe, the beds were comfy, and I liked that there was free water. Negatives are; My room wasn't serviced on the first night so I had to ask for towels etc (I believe they have a slip saying they service every second day after you've stayed two nights so something clearly gone wrong) The first night I stayed I suffered from food poisoning or some kind of stomach flare. I phoned down asking for more toilet paper around 11pm which they said they would bring, but no one did....thankfully I had some tissues in my bag. I thought this was really poor service - if someone phones at that time they clearly need it ? The walls were paper thin and I had problems with neighbours waking me up on my third and fourth nights arriving back at 00:45am and 2:20am respectively, each time blaring music and shouting/laughing. I phoned down each time to ask if they could do anything, but all the staff are allowed to do is phone the hotel room and ask them to keep it down. The first night they declined to answer and while they answered the second night, they didn't pay much heed. Very disappointing that 1) the rooms are so poorly sound insulated and 2) that staff aren't empowered or allowed to do anything about it. Not great when you have busy days with lots of meetings ahead. Bit annoying that the bar/restaurant still isn't open and therefore breakfast isn't offered but at least that's clear when booking. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're a business traveller, and I'll be feeding this back to our corporate travel team as this is a recommended hotel.

The bedding was the best i have ever tried, great location, easy to get to and from space needle, Pike Place Market, a lot of near by restaurants and coffe places, everybody in the hotel was so nice and everything was neat

A really surprising experience at this hotel. Was familiar with the location, and it's odd - right next to the monorail, but the room was quiet and there are some local restaurants worth visiting. The price was what drew me here, and it is the best deal around. Pros: - Friendly welcoming hospitality staff- One free alcoholic or non alcoholic drink upon check in- Baggage storage so you can walk around before/after check in/out.- Parking for a fee- Pet friendly, if you need that, but also not overrun with animals- VERY clean room and comfy bed- Large towels, basic amenities in room like chargers and coffee.- Fun theme of pineapples and dogs.- Walking distance to the waterfront, and downtownCons: - At night, we experienced some unsafe feeling conditions. The area is empty and you need to watch your back.- We were followed on our way to brunch by someone having some challenges, and it was uncomfortable. However, we were not in danger, and you should just behave as you would in any city.
