I was convinced by the good reviews to try this overpriced food but it was a terrible mistake. For $33 before tax this was definitely the worst pizza I've eaten since I've moved to Seattle. The crust was flavorless and paper-thin, the ingredients tasted like they came straight from a can, and the pizza was somehow cold despite me arriving 9 minutes EARLY. The owner gave me a weird look when I walked in and now I know he was probably just embarrassed to be serving me this food. I also got a pizza with 4 different types and it was cut so poorly that most slices had multiples types of pizza on it which is just funny.

We arrived a little before opening time. As we were trying to leave, the lady came out and invited us in, even though the restaurant was not officially open. What a service! We ordered a salad at the server's recommendation, and it was absolutely fantastic. For the entrée, we ordered two pasta dishes. The pasta was delicious, but the noodles were slightly undercooked. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed them. While the restaurant was not crowded, the atmosphere was very soothing with thoughtful and relevant decorations, including umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. We highly recommend this place!

Came here oh ~ 18 months ago on a whim and remembered the pizza and pasta flavors were impressive to say the least. Napolitana style, thin thrown crust in a roaring wood fired oven. Delightful flavors with a flaky cracker like crust.

Came back tonight on another whim and this place continues to shine. Same waitstaff, Madame Owner perhaps? We ordered the funghi pizza, meatballs with pizza crust, and Angeli di mare (though sadly they don't do angel hair anymore, only spaghetti and linguini). Oh well fantastic tastes all around. Hope this spot sticks around for a while

Kid-friendliness: They didn't mind when my infant made a mess in her seat. I tipped generously but figure that's par for the course when you allow kiddos in your establishment

There was definitely something off about this place. We came because of a recommendation from a sibling saying the pizza was good. Our experience was a bit more comprehensive. We had drinks, entrees, and pizza.

When we entered we were asked if we had a reservation, we did not. They sat us anyway. But then we noticed everyone coming in was asked the same question. The answer was always, no. It seemed like a passive aggressive question. Does the maître d', not have access to their bookings?! Seemed like a not so subtle message that we should have made a reservation, even though they would have been empty without us.

Then, the drinks. My wife had a house wine. It was almost undrinkable. My old-fashioned, could hardly be considered anything but a random assortment of liquids. We had a view of the drinks being made and it was nothing if not unorthodox, being made in a square craft and then handed off mid-mix to someone else that seemed to be a trainee.

The entrees were... okay. Messy and plated almost in a resentful manor. I asked for anchovies on my caesar salad and ended up with an entire can placed on top. Very questionable interpretation of my request.

The Margarita pizza was interesting (for kids). The flavor of the pizza dough was good, but so crispy it was like biting into a potato chip. The sauce was decent, but the shredded cheese was unmelted in spots. It was very interesting, but not worth the weird controlling vibes from maître d', and the $200+ bill for 2 adults and 2 small children.

The place could be really special as a daytime Italian cafe with gelato, and nighttime dinner service, but it was something else.

Edit: I was compelled to write this review after my very concerning experience. After writing it I started reading other reviews, some glowing, but others expressing similar concerns as my own, accompanied by responses from the owner being very defensive and accusatory. To the owner: if you are considering writing to defend yourself, first ask yourself, why so many people are on here warning people of the shortcomings and to go elsewhere. They are not blindly slinging mud. They are trying to be helpful. Ask yourself, how can I prevent this visceral reaction where somebody feels compelled to go to the internet and complain. Then work on that. Good luck. We will not be returning.

Great cozy spot to get some Italian food! We got a Primavera pizza that was massive and did not disappoint, and to my surprise the Pomodoro Chicken with cheese had my mouth watering for more! Paired these dishes with a glass of red wine and *chefs kiss* a perfect date night.
Not sure why this restaurant would receive bad reviews, but ignore them and give this place a shot! So glad I did!

I got the caprese, meatball linguine and Paradiso pizza.

The caprese was interesting, nice burrata with peeled tomatoes which is different, but the garlic bread is some of the best I've ever had.

The pasta was very al dente, probably the second most al dente pasta I've ever had, bordering on unpalatable but I actually liked it. It was not very saucy but the tomatoes were good. The meatballs themselves were interesting, not like any Italian meatball I've ever had. A little tough, and I think very bready. There was one piece that was a little burnt that I particularly liked. Not my personal favorite.

The pizza was delicious, very thin crust, very cheesy with nice fresh tomato, pesto and chicken.

Great service.

My fiancé and I came here for a romantic date night. The space is so warm and inviting. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Truly one of the best meals that I've had in Seattle. The pesto creamy pasta and their signature La Rocca pizza, you can't go wrong. You can just tell how much care is put into each dish even down to the Caesar salad. The wine selection is absolutely fabulous and the homemade desserts will leave you wanting even more (in the best way). This small family owned restaurant is 100% worth trying if you're in the Greenwood neighborhood. You will not be disappointed! I will definitely be coming back and bringing friends. :)

Best pizza I've ever tasted. The downside is, extremely uncomfortable chairs. Painful at times. They need cushions on them if they decide to continue with them

Incredible place to come for a dinner. Not only the food was fantastic, but the staff and atmosphere is fabulous. Classic, authentic Italian dishes, right in the middle of Seattle. Definitely worth a try, don’t want to spoil you much, try it yourself. 5 star

Hadn’t tried this place because there are lots of solid pizza spots in Phinney/Greenwood, but saw they had won some awards via Seattle Times and decided to stumble in.

I grew up in the area and frequented Perche No Pasta & Vino at their lower Queen Anne and Greenlake locations before they retired but considered them the gold standard for Italian here.

Oh boy, this place is so overpriced and overrated. For a pizza, a salad and wine, we spent over $100.

Items on the menu here include a nearly $40 ‘seafood pizza’ with ‘spicy sauce’ and
a salad that includes blueberries, oranges, olives, Gorgonzola AND honey mustard. 🥴 We asked if we could have the salad without the honey mustard and the waitress seemed genuinely confused.

But hey, we wanted that spicy sauce, which came for an additional $5 and a Jackson Pollock splash of (mild) vodka sauce on what could have been a beautifully quartered Quattro stagioni pizza, with a crust that crumbled like a Ritz cracker upon first bite. Somehow this pizza was so sloppy I got sauce on my PANTS.

Good news - the vibe here is nice and Italian-feeling (aside from Coco Melon playing on the TV) and we did enjoy a bottle of Lambrusco that reminded us of our trip to Italy.

If you’re seeking a pizza in the area—

Cornuto - for Neapolitan
Ridge - for thin crust / New Yorkish style
Razzis - for your kid’s bday party or your gluten and dairy-free friends
Sunny Hill - for Detroit style + crispy cheese edge
Windy City - deep dish

La Rocca - we tried!! 😔 but we won’t be back.

This place is on of our favorites!! Every time my mom is in town she demands to go here. Her favorite dish is the creamy pesto penne and I always go for the spaghetti pomodoro as it’s vegetarian and delicious! The pizza, wine, and cocktails are also all stellar! This is our top choice for dinner in Greenwood

Long story short, go somewhere else…

I decided to give this place a try since it’s in my neighborhood. It looks nice, they had live music and awards for their pizza in the window. I don’t know where these awards came from because this was by far some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had in Seattle. The entire pizza was undercooked except the crust (which was overcooked), too much flop that you couldn’t pick it up and all of your ingredients look like they came out of a can. The garbage you see in the picture was a $30 rip off. How can you actually charge $30 for that???

The crust was so bubbled up that when you went to grab it, it would break apart and deteriorate. I watched people at other tables fail to pick it up too. Servers come around and brush the many crumbs off every table…pizza should never be like this.

To top it all off, the food made me very sick the next day. I highly recommend Cornuto Pizzeria, Windy City Pies or Ridge Pizza down the street. Hell, even Veraci does the job better.

I wish the food here didn’t suck because it’s actually a nice space with plain as day terrible management and a disgrace to the already abysmal view of Seattle pizza. 0/10
