Okay so this place for offers essentially four menus: poke, sushi, ramen, and curry. Don't know why there are four different brands and logos, but here we are.
I ordered the poke. There are kiosks for this process and to be honest I preferred it to pointing and yelling through plexiglass. The bowl was served at the table, with warm rice, and all the toppings I asked for. The staff was friendly. There is even a decent selection of Japanese and American drinks.
What I do not like is the smallest size and a drink came to $22 total with tax. Most poke places charge that amount for this establishement's medium size. So the value isn't as good as some other places I have been (Hiroshi's, FOB, Poke works, etc...).
Sensory warning: The restaurant is all hard surfaces, so there is no sound absorbtion. The music was loud and they had a noisy Roomba running constantly, adding to the surprisingly high sound level. I started to get a headache from the bass-heavy music echoing and the mechanical trill of the robot vacuum. Adding to this soundscape are alarms for presumably food pickup orders, a door bell, and an industrial fan (which cannot be helped, since it's a restaurant). There is free wifi but I would never be able to concentrate to work in here on a laptop.
There are NES consoles set up to play on the monitors, but none of the buttons worked on the controllers?
Essentially this is an okay place to grab some food, especially for lunch hour discounts. But I don't like sitting in the restaurant to dine, and there are better deals on poke elsewhere.

First time I got poke from this place was a few years ago, and the fish was not fresh. I walk past this place every day on the way home from work, and over the past year the putrid scent of old fish permeates out through their wide open doors - and it’s only gotten worse. It’s so bad now that I have to hold my breath every time I walk past it. I literally stopped to write this review after being nasally assaulted for the umpeenth time. For the good of the people in the Roosevelt community, please close your doors (literally, not figuratively)!! And please ventilate your business!

They had a 2 for $4.99 deal on spam musubi, which is exactly what I needed at 10:30pm on a Thursday night. Salty and sweet from the teriyaki glaze on the spam, it was great. It’s a nice place to hang out, with a couple retro game consoles to play. I will definitely be coming back to try their ramen and rice bowls too. Being just a few steps away from the light rail stop is very convenient.

This is by far the best poke I’ve had it’s unreal. Also the prices of the sushi are very good, overall one of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. Highly recommend!

After a tiring workout, you are drawn in by the tantalizing smell drifting out the open doors. You peer inside and it appears almost empty, with clean, functional arrangements and a soft beat behind some retro Mario playing on the TV's. Tucked in the corner, 2 young professionals enjoy the most exquisite dish, hiding it like some secret, because this restaurant honestly is one. Sure this place isn't some Michellin restaurant, but it doesn't try to be and instead lives up to be a model hole in the wall restaurant that just makes sense. The food is fresh and flavorful with flavor profiles that blend well together and fresh textures that leaves your tongue wanting more. Sure the other reviews may be accurate, but I say it's disingenuous to judge raw fish an hour after it's prepared with takeout. Like, who knew that it may not be that good for you then. The owner doesn't say much, but if you come a couple times, he'll know you by name, and he would always hand deliver your food with a bow. I think that really says a lot. From $5 sandwiches to large $20 poke bowls, this place really does hit.

Great but am really sad prices went up recently. Depended on that food to get by. But still happy it’s there. Guy who works there rocks!

absolutely love this place. food is incredible, and for the price you can get it at there aren't many better alternatives. owner is super nice, and there is a giant tv (and 3 other smaller ones) where you can play old nintendo games, like supermario bros. highly reccommend.

Probably one of the last places in Seattle you can get a good cheap meal under $10. The buy one get one menu is a solid deal and all of it tastes great. The poke is a great value, bowls start at $11 which is the cheapest I've seen in the greater Seattle area. The management/ownership is awesome, happy to have a restaurant like this in the area, its my go to spot if I'm looking for a quick meal. If you've been to Japan and miss cheap food from the grocery store or the 7-11 this is the closest you'll get to it in Seattle.
