Delicious comfort Chinese food
By far the shittiest service I have ever received. Food was mediocre and bland. Our salt and pepper squid barely had any onions. The owner never brought us water when we asked FIVE times. After dropping off the check we requested boxes, and it never came. He definitely did come back to grab the check. We definitely did not leave a tip for being treated like this, and yet he came back with the receipt and told us "you didn't put a tip" when we clearly wrote "0" and the total bean...read full review
Loved the dumplings. And the egg custard buns were a delightful surprise.

The Purple Dot Cafe is a restaurant known for its tasty chicken feet dish and cozy ambiance. It features white booths, light colors, and is beautifully decorated with ceiling lights, lamps, and light-up LED dot lights around the entrance. There are also TVs playing a Chinese weather channel. The chicken feet dish is a highlight, served in a delicious sauce, although the shape makes them hard to eat with chopsticks or a fork, so diners might need to use their hands. The restaurant offers a chocolate drink that tastes like chocolate milk.
Recently, the restaurant has been praised for some of the best dim sum in the C-ID, including crispy spicy green beans with Chicken and XO sauce, shrimp dumplings, and shu mai, all described as delicious. The fried rice with shrimp is perfectly seasoned, while the Peking duck is crispy and tender. Mongolian beef is highlighted as a bold, flavorful dish. Some customers have noted that the dim sum is cooked to order and the mango pudding is a must-try. Service is generally great, with fast service and attentive staff. However, there are concerns about the service charge, which is 15% regardless of party size, and diners feel this should be made clearer. Overall, the Purple Dot Cafe offers good food and a comfortable atmosphere, though there are some concerns about the billing practices.
