This traditional English teahouse and restaurant serves a wide variety of teas from all over the world and great food in a small, quaint and cozy tearoom. I recommend getting a reservation since there are relatively few tables and a loyal clientele. I took my brother and his partner for lunch; the waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and quite knowledgeable about traditional English tea service, the menu, and the local area, and they even asked if we wanted a photo!
The Queen Mary Tea Room is one of our favorite places to celebrate something special or to get together after a long time apart and just catch up. The ambiance is like none other and the service and food are wonderful!
One of our 2 person party was vegetarian and we let them know that. They changed out the non vegetarian sandwiches, which was nice, but then placed them on the plate right next to the meat ones so that they were touching. Some of the meat based spread of one of the sandwiches actually got onto the vegetarian replacement because of this. We didnt like that but weren't going to ask them to replace anything so we just let them know that contamination can be an issue for vegetarians...
