Rainier Restaurant and BBQ

I had a really disappointing experience at Rainier Restaurant in Seattle last night. I ordered several seafood dishes, including the snails, and the quality was terrible. The snails were slimy while I was eating them, and the rest of the seafood tasted like it wasn’t fresh at all.
A few hours after the meal, I ended up with severe food poisoning and diarrhea. It was an awful experience and definitely not what I expected for the price.
I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves the quality and safety of their food, because this was unacceptable.

The food is delicious and delightful (especially the catfish dish)! I really appreciate the excellent service and the owner’s willingness to accommodate my requests. Lovely newly designed menu. There’s also plenty of parking.

Definitely a place to try if you want to try something new I definitely haven’t tried a restaurant like this before the had food I never thought I would try like cat fish it was very good and highly recommend it

Me and my partner come here frequently. In our opinion some of the best Vietnamese food in town. Mimi is the best and takes the greatest care of us every time. She really goes above and beyond and we are grateful. Some of our favorite menu items to order are bánh xèo and butter quail.

This place is so underrated I had their goat curry. And the dish far beyond exceeded expectation. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing it tasted. My children got the chicken chow main and they shoveled it into their mouths. They are now sharing the fruit lychee dessert served here. The waitress was very sweet as well! Totally awesome place. I wish everyone could taste my dish through the phone. It is truly a gem!

Rainier Restaurant serves up some really good Vietnamese food, though we were hoping for just a bit more. The sea snails were tasty but seemed frozen, so they could’ve been better. The fried quail, which should’ve been crispy, fell a little short. On the bright side, the fish was definitely the highlight of the meal—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and delicious.

Overall, still a solid spot that we’d recommend and plan to come back to.

I've been coming here over the years and I recently just celebrated my birthday with a large group here. Ordered the 2x V8 and it was surprisingly so much food and so affordable to feed a large group of 15 people. I hope to make this a regular birthday spot to share my favorite Viet foods with friends and family. I appreciate the staff for being so accommodating and very friendly. Even with the menu changes, this is still my favorite spot with affordable family dishes. Thank you Rainier Restaurant! I'll be back soon!

Food is delicious. I had the Bon Bo Hue about two weeks ago. The new owner is so so sweet. Always accommodating me and others. Environment is nice. You can sit in here and talk with friends and have a good time. Please support this place if you're able!

If you're looking for a whole deep fried catfish, this is the place! This is the only thing we got this time around, and the presentation and taste of the fish was great! I'm looking forward to coming back for their other dishes, as they looked to be quite unique.
