I wish Happy Cow would get off its high horse and let me leave a 5-star review. But just because this place also serves meat, the highest rating allowed is 4 stars. Come on, Happy Cow! But whatever, I guess being run by cows means you can’t allow a 5-star rating on a place that cooks and serves your own flesh and blood… Danbo gives you a dedicated vegan menu here. The food is out-of-this-world good. More than worth the hour and twenty minutes we spent waiting in line. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-29
Long line to wait but the wait is so worth it guys especially if you’re vegan/vegetarian. Flavorful and they brought the food out very quickly. It does get extremely packed and busy so if you get overstimulated my crowds or loud noise may not be the best spot for you. THE FOOD IS SO MEMORABLE AND DEFINITELY WORTH THE PRICE YUM!!!!

Not worth the waiting time
Visiting this place was truly a pleasure. The dish was well-balanced, flavorful, and very comforting — exactly what you hope for when you're looking for quality ramen. I especially liked that you can customize everything to your taste, so each bowl feels unique.
Even though there were quite a few people, everything moved quickly: the order was taken without delay, and the team worked smoothly and attentively. The atmosphere is cozy, and even though the space isn’t large, it’s pleasant to spend time there.
I left completely satisfied — I’ll definitely be coming back. It’s the kind of experience you want to repeat.

The dining area is clean, and the ramen is delicious. I was impressed with the broth it’s not too salty and the garlic paste is especially good. It has a lightly salty, fragrant garlic flavor without being harsh. It’s perfect when you mix a little into the soup if you a big fan of Ramen i recommend you should try on this place but The only thing is that the restaurant is a bit small, so you usually have to wait about 20 to 30 minutes. But I think it’s worth the wait

Two stars because their noodle quality is very good.
Outside of that, all cons:
-they usually have a long, poorly managed line
-their menu does not provide English translation so it takes forever to figure out what each items contains/how to customize effectively
-the servers are generally not attentive to customers, especially when they are busy
-the vegan ramen is so expensive for what you get, noodles and soup, two slim slices of tofu and some green onions—-you have to pay extra for veggie toppings like mushrooms, which I would expect to be included
I return sometimes at lunch when it is less crowded, usually because it makes my friends happy to eat here, but given all these cons, I’m happier eating a fancy/dolled up shin ramyun at home. I get more toppings in Shin than I do at Danbo!
Once in a lifetime flavor, I've been trying ramen all up and down the states but this is the most unique experience I've had in my 5 years of travel. Customize your broth thickness, toppings, and spice on an order card and then enjoy your specially crafted bowl of heaven.

The experience was wonderful. There was a line for almost 30 mins, but its understandable. Really loved the seasonal curry ramen it was delicious. It was rich, spicy and umamy. Would like to come here often.

Tried the vegan ramen with miso broth and the vegan gyoza at Ramen Danbo, and wow it was incredibly creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Easily the best ramen spot I’ve tried so far in Seattle.
You do have to be prepared to stand in line, but honestly, it’s worth every minute. The service is quick once you’re seated, and the food comes out hot and perfect. A must-try for anyone craving comforting, well-balanced ramen!

Not sure why this place is so popular. Definitely not worth waiting 1+ for it. The service was horrible, I feel like every server did not wanted to be there.

No doubt this is hands down the best Ramen place in town.
But absolute ridiculous wait times to get in. I would call that bad customer service. A customer has to spend thier valuable hour during a weekend waiting in line especially when its freezing cold outside. I would rather like the option to put my name in and be texted to arrive when I am say 4th or 3rd in line. And given 10 minutes of wait time.
I can say collectively in 2025 i have spent over 7 hrs waiting in live at Danbo.

This is my favorite ramen shop in Seattle. I think that everything about the food is so good. The richness of the ramen broth, the texture of the meat, the taste/flavor of everything combined: 10/10. The ability to select a vegan menu is amazing to have, I love how you are also able to select the richness of the broth (non-vegetarian option, never had the vegetarian menu). Something to note is that they do NOT accept reservations and on the weekends/rush hour you can be waiting for up to an hour in the line. I would suggest to go at an odd time of the weekday for no wait!

It was okay, wouldn’t go back. I’ve had better in Seattle in my opinion.
