I'm not much of a seafood person but the sablefish was a life changing meal. My wife had the shrimp and crab cakes and she loved those. With beautiful views to complement the food and drinks, what else can I one ask for.
Husband and I went for our 19th wedding anniversary. Overall I would say that the food was... average. The biggest issue was, as I have found in many places, that there was a lack of seasoning. There are so many different herbs and spices in the world, but so many chefs seem to rely primarily only on salt. Food should be a layered and nuanced experience, not just salty or even worse, bland. It was in general not an experience that wowed me and I cannot say that much would draw...
The view from the restaurant over the bay, with birds and even a harbor seal or two making an appearance, is stunning at sunset. Our waiter John was welcoming and professional. We started with a vesper martini and it was quite good as were the starters of clams and mussels.
Then came the mains. We shared. I had the crab cakes and they were small as oreo cookies and tasteless, like something you would get out of a box. Three tiny crabcakes on the plate....
