Seafood is fresh … amazing views 👌🏼

Disappointed in this supposed icon. The food was just mediocre in a place where it should be exceptional. The 6 adults agreed “meh.” Overpriced for sure. A great view only gets you so far. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Ray's Café has a beautiful view of the sea and the sea. But the quantity and quality of food seem to be a little less than the price. Service is good, but a little late. For view and environment one can go once, but it is not a regular place to go.

Nice ambience. Attentive service friendly service Food was excellent. Flavorful chowder. Lovely clams with great sauce. Shrimp scampi is delicious as are the scallops. Not cheap but good quality.

Best seafood dinner we had in Seattle. Water front seating. Knowledgeable, professional service. Good portions. Fresh food. Exceptional bread plate, clam chowder, arugula salad, Manila clams, grilled and house smoked sablefish, sorbet. Each course better than the previous.

We enjoyed our lunch outside on the deck at the upstairs Cafe at Rays. It was surprisingly cool and foggy there on the water, but the overhead heaters made it quite comfortable, and they also offered blankets if we needed one. And the view of the water and boats going to the nearby Ballard Locks was wonderful. We each had the House Smoked Scallops and Bay Shrimp salad, and it was incredible! the combination of flavors and textures was more delicious than we had expected, and we enjoyed every bite. We were there to celebrate, so we also had a Brownie a la mode, which was decadent and worth every calorie. YUM!

Great place.Beautiful setting. Extensive menu for fish lovers as well as landlubbers. Boys at the bar were wonderful and service at our table was prompt and efficient. Everyone friendly. We chose to eat upstairs as we could get an earlier seating and fine view of the Sound. I had cioppino and it was fabulous with mussels, clams, salmon, white fish, prawns, tanner crab all in a beautifully seasoned tomato sauce. My wife had the classic burger. Both of us happy!

Beautiful waterside location for lunch. Extensive menu. Seafood ceviche was excellent as well as the manila clams and mussels. Fish and chips used high quality fresh fish. A fun place.

The food was good and all seemed to be fresh. We were a party of 6 and everyone was happy with their choices. Dessert offerings weren't special, but they tasted good. Service was a bit slow, but the waiter was attentive. Expensive, but it's a waterfront place, so I expected that. Nice view

Many tasty seafood options, not enough room in my stomach or $$$ in my wallet. Copperhead salmon special was exceptional. Service top notch and location with over water views to boot.

Located directly on the coast with a wonderful view over Puget Sound. The "café" has a large indoor area and a large terrace on the water side, which is half covered. Even without reservation we immediately got a place at lunchtime. At happy hour it got much fuller. Both the halibut and the Tanner Crab were excellent in taste. And the oysters were also very fresh and tasty. Very attentive and very friendly service, very good beverage selection. For dinner, the restaurant area, the so-called Boatshouse, also opens. The fact that the cafe is much better visited during happy hour is due to the fact that the prices are much lower! Also suitable for large groups, good restaurant.

A local friend brought me here during my business my business trip to Seattle. Loved the food, service, ambiance, and early evening view! Didn’t have a reservation, so sat at the bar. After a visit to the salmon sanctuary at the nearby Lock, made sense to order Salmon - I ordered the river caught while my friend went for wild caught at the sea. Both were delicious and went well with the local non alcoholic beer (Fremont brewery) I ordered. Look forward to bringing my family here.

Management failed to provide complementary special desert or drink to celebrate my wife's birthday which is protocol with most high-end restaurants. Very pricy experience ($145. plus, tax and tip) for 2 ppl. Service. parking and views were exceptional!!!

We love this place. But can you change the coloring sheet for kids? It’s been the same picture for the past 10 years.

Please make this place a little more kid friendly.

I haven’t been to Ray’s Boathouse pre Covid so was looking forward to my birthday meal as I have always had fond memories. I got the sablefish which I have always ordered except this time it was $51! No one can afford to eat anymore… :(
