As a local, I can tell you I’ve had a beer just about it every watering hole in the neighborhood and there’s something about the way they tap the beer and chill the fridge. It’s always the coldest the best- also a memory lane of the local music industry with the incredible art and electronic DJ , a pool room , a dart room , and the best fish and chips for city known for seafood. The burgers are also fantastic and The Cook has been there forever...
If you’re looking for a real, well priced, friendly neighborhood bar in a sea of overpriced pretentious fanciness this is the place for you. Friendly staff, awesome owner Kathy—it’s a diamond in the rough for sure. Highly recommend

When we walked in everyone greeted us and made us feel at home, everyone was warm and seemed happy to see us. We even met the owner and she was so sweet, she sat and talked with us and made us feel like we belonged in the bar.
