The food was exceptional, We had Oysters and the Octopus for starters and chose the Black Cod and the Ono for the main course. I see the reviews regarding high prices for the portions and I agree to a certain point however my main complaint was our waiter, he was very short with me when I asked him to explain the differences between two of the fish options. He was talking down to me like I should know the answers, I think this is called order taking and customer satisfaction and I shouldn't feel bad about asking questions regarding the menu. To put a damper on the experience I received the check and noticed the 23% service charge and no mention of the charge from him, that didn't sit well either.

Once again RockCreek Seafood & Spirits - Seattle proved to be my favorite seafood restaurant in Seattle. There is no other restaurant that serves such fabulous food from the sea. It is always cooked to perfection and presented in a very interesting way. We took a relative who had never been to the restaurant before and she was totally impressed by everything. I can't wait to eat there again!

Overall, it was great dining experience. They share bathrooms with another business, so at a peak dining time the bathrooms can have a wait line. We got seated immediately at 6pm. Average attentiveness from the waitress. Variety of choices for appetizers. We enjoyed raw oysters. Entree portions were smaller portions. For ahi tuna, each ingredient complimented each other to make the entire dish enjoyable. For me, this is a solid place to treat visitors to enjoy seafood.

We ate here for brunch on a Sunday morning. The service was warm and attentive, even though we were a part of the first seating at 10, and a lot of others arrived at the same time. The coffee is good quality. I ordered the prawns: they were overcooked, and there were only three — and the dish cost $25. My husband's blackened fish was cooked perfectly though, and it was delicious. My daughter's bacon was overly salty — even for bacon. The check included a 23% service charge. The $175 + bill felt like a little too much for a less than outstanding brunch.

The food was excellent. The bar was more than a bit slow due to being unexpectedly short staffed but they comped the drinks so that helped. Great staff. Wonderful drinks, baked clams, mussels, salad, fish and dessert. Highly Recommend!

RockCreek delivered once again for my wife's bday dinner... The food was excellent on every course we ordered from salads (cauliflower is a standout) to apps/mains (shrimp/grits, rockfish are standouts) to dessert (key like pie and apple begnets are standouts). Will absolutely return!

I visited this place three years ago and loved the fish—it was busy and lively back then. Yesterday, however, I was surprised by how empty and cold it was. Unfortunately, it seems the experience has changed, and I don't think it's worth the high price anymore. I feel obliged to warn others. I'd echo @Alvin Vonk's review: “The food was tasty and nicely presented, but the portions were quite small for the price. What really bothered us was the automatic 23% service charge added to the bill... It feels like an excessive built-in tip that you're not clearly informed about until the check arrives. Overall, the experience was fine, but definitely not worth what we paid.”

Amazing food. Great service. Blown away. If you want great fish. Go to Ray's. If you want great snd innovative SAE food, go here.

We love Rock Creek. My favorite restaurant in Seattle. I took a friend here last night for her birthday. It was the first time she's been to Rock Creek. She was blown away by everything we ordered - Calamari, Rockfish, Lagana's Vesuvio Pasta and Key-lime dessert. Each amazingly delicious! Still my favorite restaurant!

The menu was intriguing and innovative, with unusual and delicious combinations of fresh seafood and unexpected ingredients. Portions, especially of the starters and small plates, were surprisingly large. Service was excellent. Being “boomers”, the noise level was high for us. We would be returning frequently except for the lack of parking anywhere within blocks. If you live within walking distance, do go here! Otherwise, Uber.

The food was very good with exceptions. The portion sizes were small for the price. We found some of the ingredients to be unappetizing (I had a pile of herb leaves on top of my $58 sea bass which I had to remove completely). Our server was where the more serious issues began. She started our interaction off with a demeaning remark when I inquired about the specials. She warmed up afterward, but we barely saw her. We were charged for an extra glass of wine and we never received oyster shooters which we ordered at the beginning of the meal. Then...at the end we realized there was a mandatory 23% gratuity. No mention at the hostess stand and no mention on the menu. I guess it's posted on the website which we did not visit prior. We will not be revisiting this restaurant. It feels like they take advantage of their patrons and need to be upfront about their pricing. I hope the owner actually reads this and responds. I noticed there were many similar reviews after our visit with zero response. Again.... It shows how little the restaurant cares about the people they serve especially after taking 23% in gratuity.

Rock Creek is a Seattle classic for a reason. I dined here last week with a friend who also loves good food and wine. We were given a table upstairs, where the ambient noise was moderate, just enough to make the environment lively. Our server was wonderful - informal but informed. She did a great job of checking in on us, without being intrusive - not an easy task. We had the seasonal salad which was well balanced and delicious. I had the blackened ono and my dining companion had the swordfish. We both loved our entrees, which I thought were well portioned. Our server recommended the Gruner Veltliner, which I would not have automatically chosen, and it was the perfect pairing for the salad and the mains. The beignets for desert would also not have been my first choice - but were also delicous. Five stars for a wonderful meal and overall experience.

The server was quite personable and fun. However, he was extremely overworked, in that he was responsible for most, if not all, of the tables on the main floor. Therefore, he was unable to be attentive to our needs as we had hoped. The wine by the glass selection was terrible. It was minimal in terms of selection, particularly in terms of wines and their quality.

This is a staple in my neighborhood that I love going to. The service, food, drinks, all top shelf.
