Rumba Notes is okay if you’re looking for inexpensive drinks, but it doesn’t really have a lively or fun vibe on a regular night. The atmosphere feels pretty quiet unless there’s a special event or live music happening. The staff are friendly, and it’s a clean, safe place to hang out, but overall it lacks energy compared to other bars in the area. Gotta come! Great variety of food. Occasionally they have a buffet so I drove down from Everett in the rain. Todays event was sponsored with food from Chop Chop of Kent. It happens last Sunday of every month.
Rumba was packed for the special occasion.I felt most welcome. Organizer Kofi Tay from Chop Chop welcomed me. The Chop Chop co-owner and cashier Tierra was so welcoming. The servers Savior and Rejoice very generous. DJ Chris kept a lively mix of African fusion...

I didnt try much of the food, but this is a pretty cool spot. Stage and sound could use some work along with an updated menu, but this place and the people there are really cool.
I had a good time playing a show there and really encourage people to check out the live music. I think there's an open jam/jazz night there...
