Decent food, but 25min for a small sandwich. Always very slow no matter the crowd size.

Waited 20 minutes for a breakfast scone and half waffle and americano.

Everything was spectacularly mediocre.

The scone is stale and overworked, somehow cold after waiting 20 minutes. The Washington waffle is covered in a thick plastic layer of yellow cheese and 4 slices of apple.

I don’t think we will be returning.

Buyer beware for advanced orders. I pre-ordered baklava and hummus for pickup at a specific time. I arrived 15minutes after be pickup time but still had to wait to speak with them and then for them to put my order together. The baklava and hummus were good but seemed expensive for the size.

Nice stop on a walk, not a large selection and the employees behind the counter are just there to take your order and call your number.

This is one of my favorite cafes to return to even after I moved out of the ballard area, specifically for the veggie breakfast sandwich. The waffles are delicious too and the staff is very friendly.

A wonderful little neighborhood cafe. We had coffee and rice pudding that was to die for. We are coming back to try everything because it all looked soooo good. The best part was how nice and friendly everyone was.

Loved the food, drinks & vibes. Staff super friendly. Great prices
Amazing sandwich - flavor, especially the bread & sauce with the filling.
Hot mocha salted caramel with coconut milk hit the spot (like extra fancy hot chocolate).
Baklava would take to go next time (eyes bigger than stomach- it's a huge slice).
Can't wait to return & try more options.
Tucked a little away from main street so not as busy.

Hands-down, this bakery serves the best breakfast in Ballard. The service was personal yet professional, the waffles were the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and even our confusing coffee drink orders were treated with the utmost care. Will definitely be returning the next time we are in Seattle. Thanks again from the Alaska crew!

I got a hot Americano and a Bacon Swiss Frittata sandwich on sourdough. I took the coffee black and it was delicious. The sandwich was toasty, tasty, and satisfying, with a good balance of fillings and a tangy sauce. Besides usual American cafe bites and drinks, there is a Lebanese food menu that looks good to try.

The staff I talked to was a friendly woman with a genuine smile, I instantly felt welcomed.

The atmosphere is cozy, spacious, with soft music (no loud pop music, thank goodness), most patrons having relaxed conversations, one patron working at a laptop. There are boardgames and knicknacks that suggest you can stay freely for a while. Decor is warm, comfortable, and eclectic.

Food is amazing. The street food they served was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The Koshari was the best I have EVER had, savory and delicious with perfect fried onions (it sounds small but in fact is a big deal,) the ful Mesdames was smooth with delicious pickles. My friend and I loved it.

BUT the BEST part was the service. Talk about hospitality, the people working there will work overtime to make you welcome and comfortable as you eat delicious food. Arabic culture is famous for its kind and all embracing hospitality and this small restaurant perfectly demonstrates that quality with a welcoming vibe for all with a good meal and kind, warm environment. You should definitely eat here and for maximum enjoyment, share with a friend.

Also drank something that combined Hibiscus AND Tamarind. Get that too. Delicious!

Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids there chilling.

Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, bumps or anything and an accessible restroom. Great spot for people of all abilities.

Incredible place. I came in for a breakfast sandwich but was surprised by their Lebanese menu and ordered off that -- everything was so fresh and delicious. I tried the meat pie and ful mudamas and thoroughly enjoyed both. Baklava and lebanese coffee were wonderful too. Didn't catch the owner's name but she had a magnetic personality and hustled to serve everyone. Highly recommend this spot -- I'll be back
