Santa Fe used to be the sister location of the popular Rosita's in Greenlake. The menu is slightly different at Santa Fe now. All the standard classics are available.
The Guacamole Appetizer is a standout...a chunky preparation, very fresh and of a generous size. Note that the guac you are served with meals is different: a smooth, more generic, type which is fine but nothing like the app.
My Dad loved the Chile Relleno and my Mom enjoy the Huevos Con Chorizo. However, my Vegetarian Chimichanga was very average. Veggie Chimichangas at Rosita's are fantastic, and a family favorite. While Santa Fe's is passable, it was basically filled with fajita vegetables... No cheese or beans.
Service was very good, and there's plenty of parking. Parking is a major obstacle at Rosita's.
I don't do reviews, but for this place I will. Fortunately I work very close by. But knowing about this place now, I would drive 30 minutes just to get here. Best Mexican food ever. Best margaritas I've ever had. 'Nough said. Go here and get fat and happy.

This was the best food hands down we had in Seattle. The white queso dip was awesome.

Great time here at happy hour. The margaritas were delicious and the food we snacked on was great. One of the highlights was the churros which were perfectly cooked.

Santa Fe Mexican Grill & Cantina has that lively, colorful vibe you expect from a neighborhood Mexican spot. The portions are generous, the tacos and fajitas come out sizzling and flavorful, and the margaritas are strong enough to make the night fun without going overboard.
It’s not overly fancy, but it’s reliable, casual, and perfect for a laid-back dinner with friends. Solid comfort Mexican food with a festive atmosphere.

Great service and great food. Our server was attentive and kind, he had a sense of hummer too. Which made for a great birthday celebration.

Normally this place is pretty solid, which made this visit especially disappointing. Our server was rude and combative, particularly when my mom was trying to figure out her usual order. He seemed irritated and was cursing under his breath, which made the table uncomfortable. We even asked if he was doing okay since he seemed so agitated, and he replied “not really,” which added to the tension. We also ordered food to go that never arrived and never appeared on the bill, and given his attitude, we didn’t feel comfortable asking about it again. The overall experience was unpleasant and I am considering not returning.
Amazing play space for a toddler

AMAZING Mexican food with huge portions. I take friends and family who come visit from out of town and they frequently request to come back. It’s expensive, but I always come home with leftovers for the next day, so it’s well worth the price. The servers are so friendly, it makes you feel like you’re an old friend coming back.

so.. decided to try something a little more “fancy” and went based off of the reviews. unfortunately, the food was extremely mid and definitely not worth the price. i could’ve spent half as much and gotten better quality -and bigger portions- literally anywhere else. not to mention, the wait staff was standoffish and dismissive. 10/10 NOT coming back
I love this place. We use to live close and the moved away to Spokane and have missed this great Mexican restaurant ALOT!!! When we come and visit Seattle no matter where we are staying we make the trip to eat here. One question..... would Sante Fe Cantina ever think about opening a location in Spokane WA?

Picked up orders of enchiladas, and everything was SO GOOD. We were so happy with everything, which was unexpected haha. The rice, beans, chips and salsa, enchiladas!
