Love this place. Easily my favorite Mexican food in Seattle and we go regularly. The photos on google do not do this place justice. Balanced, bold and unique flavors. Execution is spot on. The passion for masa and Mexican cuisine is definitely felt and noticed from the food to the staff. Cannot recommend enough.

Really appreciate that they allow you to take dogs inside. Had a great meal with the family. The music and food were great. Authentic Mexican food with good vibes.
Ismael and Iuban took care of us.

Okay for a 20 dollar chicken burrito, I was expecting so much more. Way overpriced for the quality. I should have gone to El Moose and paid a little more.

Where do I begin. The cups at the self water station were dirty, clumps of food stuck on them.
Salsa, bland, obviously canned tomatoes in a blender.
Guac, lacked flavor, needed lime salt and cilantro.
Chips, half were soggy and half were burnt.
Tacos, carne asada came off a steam table and not crispy or crusty and bland. There were soggy canned pinto beans on the tacos… weird. They were bland without flavor.
Quesadilla, very small for $12.49 for a cheese quesadilla.
I really wanted to like this place but will never go back and don’t recommend it to anyone

Quesadilla was good. One of the worst tacos I have ever eaten. No flavor on the asada. The fish taco was better. Strong smell of cooking oil when you walk in. I would really recommend going somewhere else. Sad to say, because it looks great on the outside.

The carnitas are too salty, they should really try them, don't add more salt, everything else is great and the food too.

We visited this restaurant last Sunday, and the food was really good, good service. Just a week after we stopped again for lunch, the food was unflavored. And to top it off, they had really bad service. the horchata had 2 little flies I asked to get fresh new horchata, and the server had a bad attitude.
Friendly people good service, delicious food, love the outdoor area. There's also covered outdoors+ indoors
When you walk in, there's no pricing for items, and you have to ask for chips that come with Guacamole, and I had to ask for salsa.

Maíz Taqueria is a great spot! Authentic Mexican food that is delicious. The homemade tortillas and the all natural Hibiscus Tea were an absolute treat. Fabian was extremely professional and provided excellent service + recommendations. I will be back!

Delicious food and fantastic service! I have no idea why there was a long line at Un Bien across the street when Maíz Taquería is SO good.

- Parking is pretty accessible
- Before you used to order in the bar but now they made it easier with waiters which is GREAT!
- Service is wonderful
- I am Mexican and I am very picky choosing Mexican restaurants. This place is modern and delicious. The decoration is so precious that makes me feel at home. They put Mexican music like pop, Los Angeles azules, and I love it because they don’t put reggaeton (reggaeton is not Mexican at all)
- I ordered a torta de asada for first time. Usually I order chilaquiles that are deeeeelicious. The torta was okey, I’ll give 4 stars because they put a lot of cream I think and original torta doesn’t have cream, or if they put mayo it didn’t taste like mayo and was very watery which made the bottom of my bread soggy. The asada flavor was okey but was cut in small pieces which it was not helpful because all the little pieces were falling down specially with the cream. The bread was very small for a torta.
Again, the chilaquiles are from another world. I really love them!! But the torta was just okey. For dessert I ordered arroz con leche, was pretty good!!
I’ll definitely come back! The tacos are getting definitely my attention :) I love this place and I highly recommend it as a Mexican!! It is NO TEX MEX. It is authentic Mexican food ♥️

Maiz has the best street tacos money can buy. Shrimp especially, but the pork pastor meat is to die for. The staff is friendly and it's worth the wait while they craft your food individually. This place IS FLAVOR.
