I stopped by seattle coffee works on a Monday morning around 10am and the space was half-full. I stayed for about four hours because I had a lot of studying to do!! I loved the natural light of the cafe and there was a steady stream of people with the cafe getting to full capacity during the afternoon. I ordered the 12oz matcha latte ($6.17). I asked for this iced but didn't complain when it was made hot since it was kinda chilly in the morning. I also thought the swan art was soo cute since I haven't seen that before. Taste wise I was really let down because it just tasted like hot milk. I come to this conclusion with most hot drinks which is why I normally get iced, and I really wish I could speak for the other drinks. But as for the matcha, I didn't really taste good flavor at all :( I will say the workers are really kind. They're attentive to customers and know how to handle difficult situations well. There was a homeless man that wandered in and he was told they have a shirt policy but was offered coffee or water. I really respected that! On another note I think it's a decent place to get work done! I had no issues with the wifi and it never got super loud. I will say there's not too many outlets; at one point a customer asked if she could charge her phone at my outlet source and another customer moved a table to reach the outlet also next to my table. I had pretty high expectations for this cafe because of the high reviews and it's prime location. Maybe I need to give it another shot! I was reading the little card on my table and the same owner runs Victrola so there's lots of coffee history there.

This spot was a really lovely ambiance for working or reading. The natural lighting is quite good. The staff are also very friendly and helpful and they're quite efficient. I really liked the matcha too. They had a lot of different milk options too which was nice. I'd definitely come back!

Great coffee shop except for the guy who brings a portable loud speaker and does some kind of solo karaoke right outside the shop door and sounds like a feral cat in heat. Really ruins the vibe of the whole place and wish they would do something about it.

I've been to a few coffee shops around (just moved to Seattle) and I must say I've been rather disappointed until now. THANK YOU for learning your craft. Thank you for knowing how to steam milk and make a proper espresso drink. It's hard to find around here apparently.

This shop used to be great. It’s been a while since I stopped by, so I dropped in on my way to work early this morning. The coffee wasn't the best, but the primary reason I'm writing this review is because of the service. I’m not sure what happened, but I will not be returning after the experience I had. I stood up front for over five minutes before someone came out to take my order. When she finally emerged, the short heavy-set woman who took my order was condescending and rude when I asked about their options. She had an inpatient and unfriendly demeanor. Maybe she was having an off day, but it put a sour start to my day. I don't normally take the time to write a review, but I was still bothered when I got home, so I decided to do it. There are plenty of options downtown, folks. Save yourself the time.

I've been to a lot of coffee shops while visiting Seattle and I have to say my husband and I are in agreement that this is one of the worse. Burnt espresso, poor service, and they don't take cash. Ridiculous. We visited Storyville Coffee yesterday and it was a much better experience.

Best coffee in town!

Excellent drip coffee. I also tried the house made honey syrup and the honey cinnamon whip! They were perfect and I would recommend them in a latte or even an Americano. The bakery items were pretty standard, run of the mill options. Great for a grab and go or just to snack while chilling in the shop. They had a few shop items, including a chemex set.And overall the staff were quiet, polite and fast! Zero wait for my coffee, which was shocking on a Sunday less than 2 blocks from Pike Market!
