I wanted to love it, but I really only liked it quite well. Either way, I’ll still be coming back because I did enjoy my meal.
I thought the “sweet and spicy rice cakes” were just a translation for tok bokki. Note to self and you: not teok bok-ki. The rice cakes seemed air fried and the sweet and spicy sauce was drizzled on top. I was surprised, but enjoyed them a lot.
I also had a tofu bowl which felt over priced ($16.95) for the quantity of food in it. Still the quality and taste was better than ok and I loved that they had whole grain (black/purple) rice available.
They greeted me the moment I walked in the door and were quite service-oriented.
Eating area was spacious and very clean.
Recommend.
Sorry, was too hungry to remember to take a picture before eating 😂

This place makes for a super filling lunch! And I definitely appreciate that I can get alllllll the toppings I want, for no extra charge. The cheese fall and egg cost extra, but everything else is included. They're very accommodating; I've subbed rice for salad when I wanted to be healthier, asked for half and half proteins, and always request ALL the sauces - they do it all without batting an eye. There was a day when they were out of their regular bowls, so they had these shallower, smaller bowls, which I wasn't a fan of. Also, I always request all the toppings, but most of the time they forget the potato. I got it once and it was kind of like a cold potato salad. I think if they had a brown rice option, they'd be perfect!
I love the seoul bowl on capitol hill so I was excited to have a seoul bowl close to work. I got the bulgogi beef bowl and it was almost inedible. The beef taste ranged from flavorless to sour(not in a good way) and did not have its usual flavor that im used to from the other location. At first i thought it was my imagination and i wanted to make it work, but then the taste of the beef almost made me almost throw up and I had to give up. The hours are also pretty inconvenient.
The service however was great!

Seriously the food is terrible and at the same time it’s boring to eat. I have to struggle so much with the first few bites and by the third bites I just wanna vomit and throw the food away and the kimchi is so sour and is not fresh. the ingredient are overcooked.
Honestly the price is not cheap at all. So make sure to live up to the price u charge.
I was so excited to bring my friends here and we were all so disappointed with the food. Seriously

I tried the bbq chicken bowl and it was quite disappointing. The chicken was still pink inside and didn’t not have any bbq flavoring. I don’t think I will go here again.

I got the build-your-own bulgogi beef bowl here, which came with purple rice, roasted corn, kimchi, and yum-yum + hot sauce
I found the bowl to be quite disappointing, and the main reason for that was the beef. For a place that markets its Korean BBQ bowls heavily, you kind of have to get the beef right. The fact that the beef is as bad as it was here shouldn't be acceptable at a place like this
It was dry, tough, overcooked, and pretty much completely lacking flavor. I gave up halfway through the bowl because it didn't seem worth finishing
As for the other parts on the bowl, the corn was fine, but a little excessive. I could barely taste the kimchi at all; and the purple rice didn't really taste like anything special
It does end up being a pretty expensive meal, at about $17 for a lunch. In my opinion, there are much better places for less, even Korean places specifically.
Overall, pretty disappointing for a relatively expensive bowl. 4/10

Wings were pretty good, will have to try the bowl next time as that seemed like a better lunch option.

They do not open until 10:30 their website and listing here do not reflect that. I have no opinions on the food because the hours posted are not their actual operating hours.
Got a bulgogi bowl with added egg and japchae, honestly quite disappointed with the freshness and quality of the food this time. Everything was a little too sweet, like the potato salad and the beef. Everything was a bit too saucey and did not seem fresh, such as the kimchi/jalapeno/onions. I don't think I would go back again for lunch. Nothing wrong with the service though!
