The only stars are for ambiance. Injeera was so bland and flavorless, the fermentation wasn’t there. All the dishes in the veggie combo were completely flavorless. The clarified butter and salt seemed absent come thru. Like if everything was cooked in water with a little salt. Didn’t taste spices anywhere. Tibs very flavorless and greasy , the grilled onions that came with it were covered in black pepper. No other flavor in that dish. We asked for salt and put it on everything and that helped. The only thing we enjoyed was the little green sauce/paste. Felt like a complete waste of $75 out the door for two people. Combo portions not enough for 2 people. We were fighting over some of the unevenly distributed portions which you could only get 3 bites out of.Not sure if this was an off night. Cherry on top (not) is that the server asked if we wanted more of anything. We pointed at one of them and she brought two bowls of the wrong one. I was too tired to deal with it so we just took it home, even tho who who wants take out of something you don’t like. It was not free so we took it.I was there one time prior and there was nothing to write home about (except the small portions) but I gave them another try.Give them a try if you want. Just keep expectations low.

Quality Ethiopian food, I can’t forget the amazing smell and taste of their lamb tibs. I had the veggie combo and tea along with them and all of the food and drinks were top notch. The owner is also really nice and has stunning customer service!

The dining experience at Shewa-Ber shines, setting a high standard for good food and a perfect ambiance. The service was smooth and enjoyable. Also loved the Ethiopian beer. Overall dining experience was amazing. Highly recommended.

The current time is 3:32 pm, and I am currently at the restaurant. I have already consumed my lunches, but I am still captivated by the lingering memory of the exquisite taste and recipe of Shewa Ber's Awaze Tibs. This culinary delight serves as a nostalgic reminder of my beloved grandmother, Elsas, and her exceptional culinary skills. The culinary experience at this establishment is truly remarkable, with its delectable flavors and pristine ambiance.

I am specific picky eater in dietary options and I am always coming back here because of the good food and atmosphere inside the restaurant and every take out food I bring tastes like home and feels like home I highly recommend eating here, you won’t be disappointed.
This is hands down the best Ethiopian restaurant in town. As an Ethiopian living in Seattle, I had struggled to find a restaurant that serves fresh, authentic and tasty Ethiopian food until Shewa-Ber opened. The service is also excellent. Below are my recommendations, enjoy! All day breakfast: Shewa special and Dulet (pic)Lunch and dinner: Awaze tibs, quanta firfir and Doro woteBut anything on the menu is bomb! Also ask for Ethiopian style macchiato.

This is an average place, very little flavor. We came here after our favorite Ethiopian place, the chef café, closed down, hoping to find something similar. But it's not even close, unfortunately.
