Warm and welcoming staff, a relaxing yet elegant vibe, delightful sound, and a knowledgeable host overflowing with great stories.
I’m a HiFi nerd with a great sounding setup at home, and listening in a group - in that space - on that setup…it’s special.
Pick an album (or few) and head on in…you’ll be very glad you did.

place was pretty dead. lights in the bar were extremely bright, but the bathroom was dark. cool idea but i don’t think it was executed properly.

Incredible! One of my favorite things to do in Seattle. The vibe is great, the staff is amazing and the whole experience in the listening room is just one of the coolest most unique musical experiences I’ve ever had

First time (successfully) coming in for a drink. For first timers: Tuesday/Weds is a ticketed private experience - you can’t walk in. Rest of their schedule is open to the public. This got me the first time. Upon walking in on a Friday I found the bar to be welcoming, with excellent music playing and a bartender who was eager to make me a great drink.

Nearly everything was a five out of five. The location was in a easy part of Ballard. The bar was incredible from the cocktails to the ambience. The bartender was super friendly and talkative. The listening room was super comfortable and well designed. One of the owners, Brian, gave a really interesting and engaging introduction to the album and equipment, and he set the levels perfectly. The one thing that drops my rating to a four out of five is what was apparently a loud buzzing noise projecting from the air conditioning unit. Obviously, I could be off base and it was coming from somewhere different. Regardless, it was honestly very distracting and relatively loud given the quietness of the space. I expect extraneous noise mitigation to be a top priority here. I hope if/when I return in the future this is resolved!
Listened to RAM it was heavenly

A truly amazing listening experience. This immaculately designed speakeasy style bar focuses on high fidelity listening experiences, craft cocktails, and vinyl. I was there to listen to Pink Floyd's The Wall. I highly recommend the experience.

Quite simply the coolest spot in Seattle. Beyoncé, Fleetwood Mac, Otis, Dark Side, and everything else. Brilliant.

You know, it's a very strange experience. A bunch of strangers sitting around in a room listening to an album in extremely high definition and beautiful textures but having nothing to look at or consume while listening. Maybe my attention span is too short, but I think it would benefit from some visuals on a tv and letting people drink in the room.

I recently had my first visit to Shibuya HiFi, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped in, I could tell that this place wasn’t just about the typical bar vibe—it was all about the atmosphere, the sound, and the experience.
The space itself is eclectic with a warm, cozy feel, featuring lots of wood elements. It’s a decent size, with a cool bar area that encourages you to linger, chill in the seating areas, and enjoy the vibe.
We booked the Hi-Fi listening session, which was an absolute highlight. It’s an intimate setup that’s perfect for a group of friends, solo, or date night. Either way its an evening to share a space with people who have love for great music and sound quality.
For someone who’s passionate about vinyl, speakers, and turntables, this experience was a real treat. It felt like I was hanging out in my own living room, but with a bunch of like-minded people who were equally into the music. The connection you feel with others over a shared passion for sound is— great.
The drinks were solid—nothing too fancy, but definitely satisfying. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they made the experience even better.
If you're into music, especially vinyl, or just appreciate great sound, Shibuya HiFi is definitely worth checking out for the experience.

Great vibe and vinyl listening experience. The lady that was hosting our session talked for a full 30 minutes before letting the guests enjoy what they came in for. I get that there is an interesting story behind the whole business but don’t need a lecture before the music event. Also we got there early enough to line up at the door in front. We got in and a guy is already sitting on the center sofa. Special treatment? Bar is over priced and just ok.

Definitely about the atmosphere. My speakers at home are already great and my turntable might be slightly better too, but the room and the vibe are so chic, I would go back anytime.
