I enjoyed my first couple trips and it’s been great to hear albums I’ve heard countless times through earbuds in the manner intended. However, considering how thoughtfully written the album summaries are on the listening room calendar, I was disappointed at the unprepared introductions. I assumed that the hosts would have done at least cursory research. (What do you mean you only THINK that Vincent Price is who did the voiceover on Thriller??) That’s the one issue I have but it’s sizable because it’s inconsistent with expectations set by the website, venue atmosphere and price point.

My favorite bar in town from now on. When we stopped by, an owner was very gracious and told us about the history of the place and the events they’re hosting. I’ll be definitely coming back!!!
Oh, and it’s the only place where I found Japanese shochu!

I've been to Shibuya Hi-Fi a couple of times, and I really enjoyed my most recent experience. I went for a listening event of Pearl Jam's 'Ten' and was glad to experience the album the way it was intended. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and my drink. However, the listening room was a special experience. Our host Jerry had great enthusiasm about the album and the soundsystem and I felt like I learned a lot! It was nice to close my eyes and hear an album that means so much to me with another group of fellow fans. I'm not always great at describing experiences, but I will definitely be back!

Amazing whiskey bar with an incredible room for listening to records on speakers built by Paul Klipsch.

I came here with my dinnerclub to listen to Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring and it was magical. I loved how it was set up with insight into the history of the score and what happened when it first debuted, paired with a thoughtful description about the specialness of the space. It's an immersive experience that left me feeling more connected to the powerful impact of music. It's a space to be in community around a common adoration of a musician or album, or music in general. We need more places like this in Seattle.

Was invited out for a listening party.
I've never been to one so I thought I'd try it out.

I was disappointed with the outcome.
I paid $25 just to sit down in a room to listen to an old BIGGIE album.

Also, you can't wear shoes and you can't drink or eat in the listening room.

I found that really odd.

The furniture was comfy tho.

You'd think the room would be sound proof also, but you can hear noises from the main room, between the changing of the the vinyl.

The main room was coo though. Good vibes, chill music and plenty of room. Don't have to pay to be in the main room.

I only had the house tequila and a single was $14.

Service is awesome.

Did the listening experience here with 3 others. There was no mention of “no drinks allowed” until minutes before, so we had to guzzle the $20 drinks. Then we were led into a room (where they were holding up the room waiting for us — again no mention of this; they told us we could finish our drinks and join late). Upon walking in, we were slapped in the face with the strongest smell of feet and farts ever (people were asked to remove their shoes…?). Then we were hushed by people. I’ve been to a few vinyl listening lounges and this one was pretty unusual. I can’t recommend this place with a straight face to anyone

This place was really cool, it's on a quiet street and I would not have known it was a bar, but the inside is really beautiful and the music is great and the drinks were lovely. Will be back for a ticketed event in the back room!

Gave this place a try a few weeks ago. Really cool idea, poorly executed would be my main takeaway.

The listening room is a cool set up if you're sitting in your friend's living room and can get comfortable. Instead you have to take your shoes off, can't bring any drinks in, and are seated in a way that no matter where you sit, you're forced to either look at the big piece of art on the wall or stare at people sitting directly across from you. Just look at the photos posted on these reviews.

If you're really into music, sound systems, and listening to albums in their entirety, I would recommend. If not, there are better ways to spend your time and money.

Hi-Fi Room experience is breathtaking.

The acoustics and atmosphere are incredible.

Takes music to a new level.

Do yourself a favor, pick an artist you like, and get a ticket. You won’t regret it.

Great sound and atmosphere, the drinks are well made and the service is excellent, the staff are very nice and attentive. This place is great for a good listening experience of some vinyls.
