Poor dine-in experience at this Izakaya tonight. Ordered from the phone and waited for 20+ mins, nothing was served, not even our drink. So we asked the waitress and she told us the order didn’t get sent to the kitchen. The whole time no one checked our orders, and it wasn’t busy at all with just 3-4 tables. After she resent the ticket, the food was served quite fast. However, I was disappointed again by the quality of the food. The sashimi in the appetizer set seemed unfresh and the meat in the sukiyaki was very weird. It was still so pink even after I cooked it for a long time, even the mushrooms in the meat got some pink stain. I have no idea why it was like that…. Overall not recommended, poor food quality, bad customer service, small portion and overpriced food. Would not go back again sorry
Edit: the meat was obviously not very fresh and seemed like was sitting there for a while. Some part was looking kinda brown before cooking, and I only ate one piece. The same night I was having some stomach discomfort, which I highly suspect it was the food I ate in the restaurant :(
The wagyu don is pretty good, the duck is nice but the beef tongue is a bit plain.
A truly unique experience. My teenage daughter absolutely loved it. My favorite item was the Miso Chicken Breast Skewer. The Hot Pot was fun and delicious. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Scotty was our server. He took excellent care of our group of 6.
This is a late night staple for me. Not the most impressive meal but a fantastic late night bite.
But they just updated the menu so you HAVE to give them your phone number to order from a table. And it aggressively tries to sign you up for text advertisements. Please remove this.
The business that was at this location is under new ownership as Manzoku Izakaya. The staff and food is currently the same with plans to include new menu items. Come and support them!!
Authentic and approachable. Manzoku nails the izakaya concept — shareable plates, cold drinks, warm vibes. The tsukune and agedashi tofu are spot on. Love the presentation too.
One word: umami. The flavors at Manzoku are next level. You can tell the chef respects the tradition of izakaya but adds a modern twist. The grilled mackerel and miso eggplant were standouts. Great sake list too!
Perfect spot for a cozy date night! The lighting, the layout, the vibe — it's all just right. We loved the karaage, the pork belly skewers, and the yuzu cocktail was amazing! Not too loud, just enough buzz. We’ll be back!
Great food! I’m always on the lookout for spots with good vegetarian options, and Manzoku did not disappoint. The Zaru Soba and Shinya Salad were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Fast and friendly service, plus a drink menu that’s got something for everyone. Definitely coming back.
This place used to be a favorite of mine and my girlfriend. But now the quality has really gone downhill. We tried it again after our first bad experience to see if it was an off-night, but it's consistently bad now. The food taste like they're on the verge of spoilage and they've decreased the portions. It feels as if the restaurant has fallen on economic hardship and is scrapping by, selling off whatever ingredients they had ordered months ago, trying to cut their losses before announcing bankruptcy. It's really sad to see this happen to what was once a great dining establishment.

My girlfriend is allergic to shellfish. She almost died last night because we ate here and there weren’t any shellfish warnings, nor did our waitress say anything about cross contamination when we asked her. Nothing that we ordered had any shellfish so it must’ve been cross contamination. Two stars because the food was really good.
Dietary restrictions: Don’t eat here if you’re allergic to shellfish

The food quality wasn’t as good as before. The gizzard and liver taste funky….. super sad used to be a fan.

Living on 2nd Ave makes you forget theres restaurants on 1st and 3rd in Belltown. I always make a mental note to try this spot. Today is the day! The service was immediately a bit off. No mention of scanning the QR code on the table to order so I'm just sitting there for 20 minutes with water before I finally glance down on my own 😓. A bit strange, anywho, on to the food! Izakaya style portions are small but tasty. I tried a variety of yakitori dishes and loved them all. The standouts were the wagyu and miso beef skewers. So, so good! I will definitely return and still highly recommend this place, just hope they can be a bit more welcoming to first time visitors.
