Amazing cocktails, fried mushrooms , nice main dishes , Atmosphere very quaint/pretty. Love the “about us “ section (very timely) Had the privilege of meeting the gracious owner. Pricey but they really bring it in every way New favorite !
This may be my fifth or sixth time and each time I am more impressed than the last time. We ordered as much as we could from the menu since it is family style and loved every dish. Their take on Sach ko ang is AMAZING. Not only is the food delicious, their cocktails and mocktails are creative and so tasty. Having lived in Cambodia for 9 years - I love supporting local Khmer and enjoying the cuisine!
Authentic, but not traditional, and surprisingly, I like it. The good: Highlights of the night were their take on kaw & the steak with loc lac butter. The pork belly was cooked perfectly. I didn't feel like it was too fatty or heavy. Same goes for the steak. Cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious too. The henny cocktail was also so so yummy. My favorite drink of the night. I had also gotten a pandan drink, but it was too strong for me. Service was 12/10. Our server was such a cool dude & made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance and decor was also very beautiful and set a great tone for dinner. The bad: Boklahong was an absolute miss for me. I felt that the essence of what makes boklahong so loved was completely removed. I understand that the dishes are “elevated,” but the other dishes I had still maintained the essence of the dish. It wasn't spicy (& no option provided for spice levels), limey, nor pungent. If you're Khmer, skip this one, seriously. Overall: Great date night spot or a place to introduce people to Khmer flavors.
Great small cocktails. Good food with flavours a little unusual for me, so enjoyable. The steak is OK, but rather go for the pork belly if you're in the mood for meat.
The pork belly was a hit; the steak was a miss and the cha quay (basically a cut up chinese donut) was kinda laughable. The small tables for two were much too small and barely had room for two dishes, drinks and our plates. Server mentioned dishes are family style; if we had ordered anything additional it would have made for an even more crowded dining experience.
Sophon is superb. The food and the cocktails are outstanding and also really interesting and different. The service is excellent - the four of us simply asked our waiter to "please bring us dinner" and we were blown away with the result. We were also astonished at the cost - we had mountains of outstanding food for a surprisingly small expenditure. And the space is nice too - "authentic."
The food at Sophon is a flavor bomb and I mean that in a good way. Everything we tried was delicious! We were there for a special occasion and the staff made us feel special. We can't wait to go back.
A disappointing evening at Sophon. Once a favorite of ours, the experience included flavorless food (which needed the sauce), lackluster service. Not sure if the has been a change in the chef or kitchen but it's definitely several levels below where it used to be.
the food is so unique and delicious and service is outstanding at Sophon. Highly recommended!
5-star. Warm and welcoming space and staff, delicious food! The srtan cocktail was A+ and all of the food blended together so well. Can't wait to have the kroeung khmeraage again!

Great intimate place to celebrate my 40th birthday. The food was delicious and interesting. We especially liked the oyster mushroom karaage with dipping sauce. The service was notably good as well. Our waitress helped us navigate the menu, pace dishes, and make recommendations.
We traveled from California to dine at Sophon and it was worth the trip! Even took a bus from Belltown to get there and the food and service did not disappoint! Our server was wonderful and helped us decide on which of the many delicious entrees to order. The Kroeung Khmeraage was probably the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. The Bok La Hong Salat was refreshing and had so many delicious flavors infused into a spicy salad. To top it off we had the Kha Sach Chrouk pork belly entree with the “crack sauce” which melted into our mouths! I can't say enough about our server who was so helpful and just lovely. All I can say is you cannot go to Seattle without eating a Sophon. I will be thinking about this meal for a long time!
Although it was wonderful to have a table that prepared for my daughter‘s birthday, appetizers arrived before drinks, the main course of the noodles with Chinese eggplant was over salted to the point of being inedible, and our lead server seemed generally annoyed to be working with us. The steak was well prepared and enjoyed. Dessert choices were minimal and for a celebration there was not much to choose from. Our server was curt and unengaged. I'm sorry we came here for a special occasion.
Charming place and great location. The food was really good and definitely a nice environment
The dishes we ordered, two small plates, and two large ones were all pleasing to the palate. Give Sophon a try
