Delicious food but very bad group experience—terrible service, timing was way off, very hard to get a server's attention and multiple things missing.
4 of us had a delicious dinner at Sophon. Though the prices look a wee bit high to start, the large portions make it a really good value in the end. We had the baby gem salad, 3 appetizers (kroeung (fried) chicken, p'set ang (mushrooms w/tomato relish & coconut), and k'tiss prahok dip with crudités) and one main (steak), and we all left full. The food was all delicious, and I'm just sorry we were too full to order any more of the appetizers! Most of the house cocktails were a bit too exotic for our tastes, but the sratn and srey saat options were tame enough and each was good, though not our favorites. The only downsides for us were parking was a bit challenging and the noise level was high enough that we found it hard to have a normal conversation. To her credit, the Hostess offered to turn the music down when I had to ask her (twice) to repeat what she had just said. What a lovely gesture! Our waiter was also great!! Go visit Sophon, and enjoy!! You won't regret it!!
Everything we ordered was delicious. Flavorful, fresh and nicely sized. For a group of four we shared 3 starters and 2 mains. The eggplant with noodles and soy curds was a stand out.
The entire place was so warm, we went for my wife's birthday dinner in December, so it was frosty outside but as soon as we stepped in we lit up in more ways than one! Well heated, very soft and cozy colors/ decor. Packed and well-spaced, the staff were homey as well as gracious. Food was phenomenal and deceptively filling so starting with less and adding on later was a great move. We had a non-alcoholic mixed drink that was divine ~ Definitely pricier restaurant but with the service, the food, presentation, and ambiance, so worth it!
Our server and our food were outstanding!! We cannot wait to go back again. Ambience, price point, food service and taste were all Top Notch!!
Holy smokes that was the best dinner we’ve had in awhile. Every dish was delicious and the service was well timed and friendly. Highly recommend!

We've wanted to go for awhile but reservations were difficult for the times we wanted. Finally snagged a Saturday night. Food and cocktails were great. We'd definitely go back
Our experience began with being warmly welcomed. This was a quiet night, different from our dining here a year ago so it was more relaxed. I had read that Sophon's signature cocktail, the Mekong had to be ordered at the bar so we arrived early to make sure we procured one but it is not available at the table. This rum based drink made with coconut cream, mango, lime and a dash of fish sauce and kampot pepper served in a coconut milk can does not disappoint. It's refreshing, not too sweet and balanced in flavors. I would have ordered another one if I was not driving home! While waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, we placed an order for cha quay, a long fried bread that perfectly accompanied our drinks. The food honors the food found in Cambodia with brilliant flavors presented rustically exuding comfort. The bok la hong salat made with shredded papaya was refreshing with a good awakening of spiciness while the baby gem salat dressed with a tamarind dressing gave our palate a break from the heat. As we got into deeper conversation the main dishes of lort cha with pin noodles, kha sach chrouk with pork belly and trei chmoy tuk trei omperi with fish, lettuce and vermicelli noodles that arrived at the table only made our evening more special. Each dish was presented with a smile and described after they were set down at the table. This was our second time at Sophon and we know that we will return because the experience is the full package with great hospitality, good food and a space with a good vibe.
The atmosphere was visually delightful. The food was spicy enough but not overpowering and each dish was beautifully presented. The food was flavorful with a purpose. I highly recommend the tuna. It was delicious and so fresh. It was the highlight for me. Loved the service too, their attentiveness was excellent.
Everything was great. Can't go wrong with anything you order. Service and vibes were immaculate. Will be going back!

We loved our server, the atmosphere was wonderful and not too loud. We enjoyed every dish and the bottle recommendation. They made us feel special on our anniversary!
Good not great. We really wanted to like this place and maybe make it a regular spot for nice date nights, but it fell short. The food was mostly good and definitely interesting, but some dishes were unbalanced and just not quite right. We also both felt sick/gassy the rest of the evening afterwards, which is not a great sign.
The service was sufficient. Our server was friendly but we only saw her a couple times throughout the meal and she never really checked on us. We had to order more drinks by flagging down another server.
Overall, for the price we will not be back, though we live relatively close and are desperate for good restaurants. Disappointed this place fell short.

This was my first time here. The rave reviews are here for a reason. The food and service were both amazing. I'd recommend this to anyone and will definitely be coming back again.

Caught the tail end of happy hour and had a couple of starters. The dishes were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great! Can’t wait to go back!

Immaculate experience from start to finish. We sat at the bar and were treated to some of the most unique, perfectly balanced cocktails I’ve ever had, followed by food bursting with flavor and creativity. What really set the night apart, though, was the staff. somehow even more beautiful, passionate, and fascinating than the food and drinks themselves. BAS, FABIENNE, and ZARA, you absolutely made the night. thank you for your professionalism, warmth, and bright energy. Every visit to Seattle will now include a stop at SOPHON. Nothing but love for this place!
