Cute place inside! I purchased a matcha with banana cookie foam and avocado toast. Both were good! Went back a week later and bought a ube coffee and it was good as well.

This has been my current favorite new spot to eat at, SOUFend Cafe. The name itself was already catchy, but I heard about this place from seeing posts of their banh uot tower and it reminded me of this one place I went to in Vietnam. You MUST try it; it's a tower of steamed rice roll sheets that you have a selection of protein to choose from, mixed with fresh herbs and veggies, roll it all up and dip in fish sauce. Oh. My. God. Yum!

We also ordered their bun mam dau which is a variety of meats, tofu, noodles, and fresh herbs to dip in a pungent shrimp paste sauce. I guess I'm not a true Viet, the shrimp paste was too strong for me so I opt out for fish sauce instead. I'm looking forward to coming back to try more things on the menu. They have really early hours and actually serve a full menu all day.

Bun bo Hue has a weird sweet taste. Disappointed for the high price $20.00 bowl.

Very expensive and long wait , service sucks!!!!
We went on Sunday afternoon, waited 50 mins to get Banh canh cua, com Tam, canh bun and 2 coffee drinks!
Places was tiny, customer services confusing.
$25 for banh canh cua and $22 com tam not tax tip in MLK Neighborhood???? The broth is definitely MSG in there and grilled pork is burned. They dont even have veggies and lime for the noodles. The owner saw I was angry after 50 mins waited and food came out not authentic, she gave me the free small sweet banana dessert. She asked Do you want it?’’
What a joke , I definitely want to share my review here because I think is way too expensive for this, feeling like support the community but it came out bad experience. Not coming back
You know when to eat around there!!!

South End (Soufend) represent! Love, love, love all of the Seattle decor here. So bright, friendly, and clean, and all the food looks delicious. They have a very long list of specials of Vietnamese food that isn’t as common in Seattle.

My husband kept raving about the bĂĄnh canh cua.
I ordered the bĂșn bĂČ Huề, which had the right complex, flavor profile, but I usually prefer this dish super spicy and piping hot. I’m pretty picky about bĂșn bĂČ Huáșż though, which is one of my favorite dishes.

Food presentation is great, it’s clear they care a lot about the food, neighborhood, and experience, and it’s always great to see a new, thriving restaurant here (they were super packed when we came on Saturday and was also super crowded when I passed by on a random weekday, so plan ahead). It does take a bit for them to make the food but it’s worth the wait. I can’t wait to come back to try their other dishes.

Fun spot run by local “soufend”-ers. Food portions are generous. Everything was fresh and tasty. We had the avocado toast and spring rolls. Excellent peanut sauce. I’m excited to come back for the wings, rice roll tower (everyone was ordering and enjoying this!), and desserts. Fast, friendly service. Our drinks were great. Love the South Seattle-inspired decor and the nod to south end history with the wifi password. Well done!

Wow what a great addition to the community!! I love how they stayed true to the traditional Vietnamese dishes! They have a wide variety of dishes that I couldn’t find at other Vietnamese restaurants. My absolute favorite is their combination broken rice dish, super delicious!!! The drinks are so creative and DELICIOUS! I am in love of their taro with ube foam and matcha latte with banana cookie foam!

The vibe and decoration is chefs kiss, I love how they had art work to represent the southend! I can’t wait to come back again and again!!!

The Soufend strawberry matcha was one such encounter, a symphony of flavors that left an indelible mark on my palate. As the first sip touched my tongue, I knew that I was in for a treat that would be remembered for a long time to come.

The strawberry matcha was an enticing one. The sweet and fruity aroma of ripe strawberries wafted up, beckoning me to take a deeper breath and indulge in the experience. As the first sip made contact with my tongue, the matcha's earthy bitterness made its presence known, expertly balanced by the lusciousness of the strawberries. It was as if the two opposing flavors danced together in perfect sync, creating a harmony that was at once refreshing and invigorating.

As I savored the drink, I began to appreciate the ingredients. The matcha's delicate bitterness served as the perfect counterpoint to the strawberries' sugary sweetness. Each sip was a masterclass in balance and restraint, with neither flavor overpowering the other. It was a testament to the skill and craftsmanship that had gone into creating this culinary masterpiece.

But what truly set the Soufend strawberry matcha apart was its refreshing and rejuvenating quality. The combination of the cooling matcha and the fruity sweetness of the strawberries made it the perfect beverage for a winter January day like today. As I drank, I felt my senses come alive, invigorated by the drink's revitalizing properties. It was as if a ray of sunshine had burst into my cup, filling me with a sense of joy and rejuvenation.

It took around half an hour for the Banh Uot tower with heo quay (crispy pork) that I ordered to arrive. The Banh uot arrived with a dish of vegetables that contained a lot of bean sprouts, basil, and a small amount of mango and cucumber. They charge me an additional $4 when I want more of simply mango and cucumber. The smell of the crispy pork was awful. For a single individual, the total cost of the Banh Uot tower comes to $25. The portion is not worth the cost.

We were hungry and this restaurant was near our home and we had not tried it since it's opening. Tasty and just the right amount of spicy. This experience was different from our previous Vietnamese restaurants and meals our friends have prepared for us. Again, tasty and plenty of food - I took almost half my meal home for a 2nd meal - a nice bonus!

Ca phe sua da is decent. Too sweet though and they premake it so there's no chance of reducing the sweetness. It's not bad, just not great.

Came here on a weekend for brunch and it was so good. I had Chao Long and my friend had Banh Mi Chao, both were well-seasoned.
Staffs were friendly and food came out quickly, portion was big.
