This place is absolutely horrible. I've tried them 3 times total and I'm done. Me wanting to keep supporting black business but the lever of costumer service and horrible food is just too much.
Today I ordered CHicken tenders & fries with a sammy burger combo, and the Chicken strips were hot outside and frozen cold in the middle. The Sammy burger had me feeling like I was on the naughty list because in stead of a burger I got a lump of coal. Never again!

Usually I don’t write reviews because I was taught if you have nothing nice to say don’t say it but consider this a caution that the food here is extremely poor on quality overpriced heavily microwaved I even heard beeps in the background. The place is pretty tacky. The Man Isn’t Really That Welcoming Even When I Gave Him A $20 Tip For Just Bringing Me Sauce.The Food Taste Awful Respectfully. The Mac and cheese tasted like pasta mixed with a little bit of cheese, The Fries were Soggy And very mushy The potato salad was very nasty after you ate it you had a gagging feeling. Don’t even get me started about the Corn bread it tasted like you were eating dirt even with honey added The inside was dry as hell, After eating the food your stomach instantly feels in pain and nauseous.Overall Don’t Come Here Unless You Like To Waste Money And Eat Nasty Food And Feel Sick.

Food is amazing! During my visit from California, I was craving some soul food but was stuck in downtown Bellevue, where the options were mostly Asian and Indian cuisines. So, I googled soul food and stumbled upon this hidden gem. I couldn't have been more pleased!
Food was delicious! You can tell it’s homemade. I had the cod beans and rice with slaw. Fish was so fresh and flasky and not ton of breading! My daughter had the Sammy burger..fries were cut from potatoes, first time I see that at a restaurant! A bit spicy for my daughter though. Simple, air conditioned and great kind service!

Our big group of 9 came in right before closing time and it was a one man show for the staff on March 27, 2025. I can’t remember his name but he was so patient and kind to us from the beginning to end. We even asked him to take a photo with us.
We loved everything we ordered and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. A few things on the menu were not available such as fried oysters. Free street parking. Family owned business so stop by to support them whenever you come to the area or near by.
