When I first moved to Seattle a few years ago, the Maui specality roll, a deep fried spicy tuna roll topped with seaweed salad was the first thing I tried at Star. It's not what I get every time, since there are enough other items on the menu I like—try the Assorted Poki Salad, Steak Wrapped Asparagus, and of course, the staple Tsuivan Pan Fried Noodles—but it's always a roll I crave. You can enjoy the seaweed salad either with the roll itself or take a bite between each piece of sushi. The food here is consistently good and high-quality and the owners are always friendly to top it all off!
Phenomenal customer service and food. Great happy hour prices, highly recommend the katsu curry and ramen.

Was in the mood for sushi and found this place. I ordered takoyaki, the charizard roll, cherry blossom roll, the Hawaiian roll, and the salmon ceviche salad. I really enjoyed the charizard roll! It was quite flavorful, and you could taste the smokiness in every bite. I found the pineapple on the Hawaiian roll quite bitter, but the roll itself was excellent! When eating all the components together, it made for a perfect bite! Everything was good, but it didn't stand out as much as the charizard or Hawaiian roll. Fresh ingredients and thoughtful care in every item.

Best place we’ve eaten out at in a long time! Staff were super friendly, everything we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend the chicken karaage and the charizard roll. Also, they asked us if we had any allergies when ordering, which was very considerate of them! I have a peanut allergy and really appreciated that.

Food was delicious. We ordered lobster roll, SSS roll, and the pork belly bulgogi. Lobster roll was the best and our waiter said it was his favorite! Service was excellent, we had several waiters come over to check on us, ask about our food, and fill our water glasses. We were seated in the dining room towards the bar area. It’s pretty spacious and could accommodate couples to groups.For three items and an NA beverage, our total was $90 with tax and tip. Very nice dining experience and would recommend!
