This place is excellent but the prices are outrageous. Charging >$10 for a 12oz mocha is the most serious case of "tourist pricing" I've seen in a long time. It's a fine place to stop once but there's equally good spots for half the price so I wouldn't come here on a regular basis.

Storyville Coffee is a historic spot in the iconic Pike Place Market. First-time visitors get a free mug, which is a nice touch. It gets crowded on weekends, making seating a challenge. The coffee is good but a bit pricey—lowering the cost would make this place even better. A good place to park is Pike Place Parking, and then walk up to the café.

I don’t know what drugs the owners of this place are on but they are out of their mind. I also don’t know who in their right mind is giving this place high reviews. The price they charge for coffee is insane. No one should be charged $12 for a vanilla iced latte. That’s crazy. The service was super slow despite having 4 baristas behind the counter. Do not come here to be ripped off. Go elsewhere. There was nothing special about the coffee.

$23.17 for two lattes is insane. I’d rather have a reasonably priced coffee than the option of a free mug.

The atmosphere is nice but too busy to find a place to sit. The employees were also super sweet. The vanilla latte was delicious, but should vanilla flavoring be $3.10 more?

I won’t be back because of the prices. There are so many other great coffee places within walking distance of this place.

Yeah, coffee was as good as any other well-rated espresso shop, but why is no one mentioning the extreme and unposted prices? With no menu in sight, I ordered a cappuccino. Surely, it couldn’t be more than 5, maybe 6 dollars? When I saw a price of over $9 on the iPad, I knew it had to be someone else’s order. Wrong: that’s the price of ONE CAPPUCCINO. Are they serious? And no prices listed? I travel a lot, and love to seek out the highest rated coffee shops when I do. However, this is by far the most expensive cappuccino I’ve ever seen. Anywhere. Including Manhattan, Tokyo (Blue Bottle there is $$$ but still less), London, and Beverly Hills. I decided to decline but they gave it to me on the house, which was appreciated but didn’t make the experience feel any less like a setup.

delicious latte but horrifyingly (at first) it was $9. however they gave a free mug with the coffee so turns out it was actually a steal (if you want a mug)! the view is gorgeous, a cozy albeit busy space to hang for a bit :)

I used to love this place, but something changed over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, the coffee quality has dropped significantly — not just a slight dip, but a drastic decline. I don’t mind paying a premium for great coffee, but spending nearly $11 for a latte that tastes like mostly milk with barely any coffee is disappointing.

I ended up going to another coffee shop where I paid half the price for two lattes, and the quality was miles better than what I got at Storyville. I’m sharing this not as a knock on your business, but as feedback from someone who remembers how great Storyville used to be. I truly hope this serves as an opportunity to bring back the rich, high-quality coffee that once helped define Seattle’s coffee scene.

There’s so many better places to get coffee in Seattle! The price and the people aren’t worth it here, go anywhere else for a better experience and support real local coffee

One word, HIGHLY OVERRATED!

After realizing that they shut by 3pm, I decided to try this place to see what the hype was all about.

Firstly, you gonna have to walk three flights to get there, and the vibe is okay but I was taken aback by seeing their menu and their ridiculously expensive prices.

Asked the barista what makes them so special as they charge a lot for a single cappuccino ($8.5 without tax), she yapped a min about how they source their beans from Ethiopia, India, etc and their roasting practices. (Nothing insightful, other than the fact that they’re inside the pike place market, so it’s expensive than a typical downtown store 🤦‍♂️)

Now, the coffee (Cappuccino) is good, it’s blended smoothly with milk but it’s nothing extra ordinary or out of the world that justifies such insane prices. Who sells a house latte for $14?

There are atleast a dozen coffee places in one mile radius from this place that offer way better or similar coffee at half (~60%) of the price.

So, no amount of fluff could justify this place and their offerings at the price they charge.

Stay away from the hype, do yourself a favor by trying out other sane coffee places that offer better coffee!

Very milky cortado (that too for 8 bucks) and weak americano served lukewarm. The free mug for first time visitors is a nice touch but I won’t be coming back for the coffee.

Great atmosphere, but the prices are criminal… $6.50 for an espresso shot? $10 for a mocha?! I’ve been to almost every coffee shop in downtown Seattle (30+ and counting), and this place is by far the most expensive. Almost double in pricing compared to other options. I wish I could say the coffee was double the enjoyment, but it tastes about the same. The atmosphere though is very lively. So I suppose if you want to justify the visit, that could be one way to do it.
