I live a block away from the Sugar Bakery on Madison. Coffee, sandwiches and pastries aren't to bad but a little expensive for my taste. I don't eat out much in Seattle because the food is way over priced everywhere you go. The gentleman I used to take care liked the breakfast sandwich. The Madison bakery is very small and cramped. It holds maybe 7 customers at a time anymore people would have to wait outside. It's more of an order to go place. My biggest complaint...
We ordered our wedding cake from Sugar Bakery—the pink champagne cake with a few custom modifications—and it was absolutely delicious. Moist, flavorful, and not too sweet (which, in our book, is the highest compliment).
Our planner picked up the cake on the day-of and worked with our florist to add fresh flowers—it came together beautifully and looked just as good as it tasted. Guests loved it, and we’re so glad we went with Sugar Bakery!

So underrated! I walk past here a lot and it’s not very eye catching so I never thought to go in. But I finally did and so glad, definitely now one of my favorite spots. The baked goods are really good! It’s hard to find good pastries on the hill but now I know this is the place to come. Good coffee too. 9/10 experience
