Went to Sunfish a couple days ago after watching a video rating it as the #1 fish and chips place in Seattle. Didn't disappoint! The gentleman who waited on me was polite and charming. The fish was the best I've had...light on breading, moist and flavorful. We went to Spuds the next day and no comparison! Sunfish was much better!

We went for the fish and chips which was supposed to be the best in West Seattle. It was pretty good but breaded instead of battered which I prefer. The fish was fresh and tasty but the breading didn't have much character. The clam chowder was the real star of the show-delicious, and loaded with fresh clams. I would go back just to get chowder.

Cod “fish and chips” was alright, nothing too out of the ordinary, not bad either. The guy at the register had a problem with us from the moment we walked in for some reason. Seemed pointed specifically at me and my partner, but can’t say for sure. We were quiet going in, not sure what we did but was totally fine with our friend behind us. Super rude for no reason, slammed our tray in front of use before putting food on it. It’s got a nice view I guess.

Food was good but had a weird interaction from the person taking my order. Firstly I tried ordering the small (1 piece) cod with fries. He said they didn’t have it and that they only had the 2-3-4 pieces with fries. He then questioned me if I was by myself or I was with a bigger group. He asked, ‘who are you? Who are you with?’ Like it’s on the menu man, just let me order it. I said no I’ll pass. Then he said ok and then let me order. I then add a drink and he said they only had one size, ‘large’ but it was clearly a medium size. But then said they had small and medium which contradicts his literal last statement. s I got charged for a large. Kind of ruined the waterfront easy going vibe.

Quality Halibut - the batter is light and a little crisp. You get fish, not breading here. And your fish is fresh.
Their Calamari is is my favorite place to get calamari because it is real calamari not the frozen small rings that many restaurants offer.
The clam chowder is creamy and hearty.

Still one of the best fish & chips in Seattle. I lived here over 20 years ago and I visited again when in the area. Right on Alki Beach, it's clean, tasty, and consistently unfussy. They've been in this location for 36 years and it's worth a trip for fresh and yummy cod, halibut, or salmon on a paper boat of hot fries. This is also the ONLY place I will eat fried oysters. No frills, no pretense, just good food.

Spectacular!!🤩🤩 Best fish n chips you can get! The scalllops were cooked to perfection, and tasted like buttery jewels of sea flesh, makes my mouth water just thinking about them! I couldn't get a photo of my meal fast enough! This is THE place to go if you visit Alki, hands down.👍👍👍

We are in the area on vacation and fell upon this amazing seafood spot. We ordered the cod and prawns with fries, and split it between two people to go. It was more than enough food, very fresh tasting, lightly breaded, and delicious. The two gentlemen that helped us today were extremely friendly! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!
