One of my favorite sushi places in Seattle. Not super upscale but not cheap quality either. Good prices and the sushi was always delicious. Love their vegetable tempura roll, it's hard to find a good variety for vegetarian sushi options. Sometimes the wait for takeout was long but not a big deal. Parking can be difficult since it's on Market street.

Ordered takeout. Two items are missing from a combo meal and the Katsu chicken was completely spoiled. When the restaurant was notified by the customer that the chicken was spoiled they denied it and refused to take accountability. Horrible customer service. I will never order for my family there again

We came her for dinner around 7:30 Friday and were immediately sat. We started with the sake sampler, I don't recommend it unless you like/are familiar with sake. For rolls, we got the awesome (left) and the sexy tuna (right). Both were average, nothing special. Our server was awesome and super sweet.

My husband and I eat at Sushi 1 at least once per week — both takeout and dine-in. It’s tasty, consistent, and run by very friendly staff/owners. The sushi spots on Ballard Ave may be busier, but that doesn’t make them better than Sushi 1, which is just off Ballard Ave and just as good if not better than the higher-priced places down the street! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a new go-to spot in the area!

Wow this place was great and reasonably priced! Called to make a 5:45 reservation on a Friday but it wasn't busy when we arrived. The place is small and I don't think they're seating the sushi bar area. I'd been craving sushi and saw this place when I'd walked around Ballard a few times. We ordered 2 Sexy Tunas, California roll, 2 salads with ginger dressing, spicy tuna with crispy rice, and seafood spring roll. I loved the Sexy Tuna, so I ordered a second one to share later with my friend. The salad was a little lack luster and the ginger dressing tasted like a store bottled version and wasn't very sweet like I expected and prefer. My friend had the seafood spring roll and she said it was ok but the spicy sauce was kind of strange. But everything overall was great and the sushi was so fresh. The service was fast and friendly. They had several rice less rolls which was nice (including the seafood spring roll) but i think they could customize basically any roll. I'm on a low carb/keto diet but i indulged in some regular rice rolls. We will definitely be back and will try the jalapeño poppers since they're stuffed with spicy tuna. Their spicy tuna was very delicious and we were fans (if you couldn't tell). Definitely a hidden gem and again so reasonably priced for being in Ballard.

Came here on a Friday night. They only have one table that seat more than 2 people, so be sure to call ahead if you have more. Sushi here was delicious and the service was a tad slow, but very friendly. We got the boat and the quality of the sashimi is great (better than Momiji), however it is pricey. Overall a great, quite place for a peaceful meal!

I would give this place zero stars if it were an option. We spend over $200 on dinner but had to throw away most of it. The tamago tasted of cleaning products of all things. The eel rolls, futomaki, California rolls, and octopus nigiri tasted like perfume. I wonder if the sushi person washed their hands with scented soap which then transferred onto the food? I don't know how else to explain the weird flavor. The yakisoba and tempura shrimp weren't bad. Not sure how this place has 4.5 stars, but I do know I will never go back. Gross!

Actually terrible. All of the rolls tasted heavily of perfume to the point I couldn't eat them, tamago tasted like cleaning supplies. Futo maki had carrots and asparagus in it, (????) and lacked a lot of the ingredients of a futo maki, like the spinach. If I'd know about this, I wouldn't have ordered it, but the online menu has little to no details on what's in the rolls.

I have ordered over twenty times from Sushi I through the pandemic. FRESH. FANTASTIC. FULFILLING. Portions are fare, prices are fare, customer service is marvelous. I have never even been disappointed with the quality. They always meet expectations and more.

We've only got takeout from here and have been happy every single time! Give the God Father roll a try and you will not regret it

After going to many sushi places across Washington, this place is one of the best mid-high price range sushi restaurant. It has exceptional quality that is on par with the high end restaurants in the state, but for a reasonable cost.
