A unique spot with some unique flavors. There really arent enough Ice Cream spots in Seattle and this one is a little Gem in Cap Hill.
Very good ice cream, if I recall correctly! Cozy. Good and interesting selection of flavors. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Best ice cream on the hill.
This place is across the street from Hothouse Sauna and Spa—ice cream after a session is the perfect relaxing combo!
We got the Thai Iced Tea, Vanilla Cubed, and Blueberry Lavender flavors and they were divine!! We were able to sample multiple flavors (more than 1 compared to what some of the other reviews were saying), and the staff was very patient and kind! Contrary to all the recent low reviews, we had a good experience here and will be hoping to come back during our next visit!
monkey berry bash is 🔥
visited around 6pm. The one server there was rude for absolutely no reason...
I tried their vegan ice cream flavor - Vegan Berry Truffle. It was a strawberry coconut base with soft chocolate pieces inside. It was pretty good. It’s gluten-free. I’m a sucker for strawberry ice cream, and it was delicious. I read some other reviews about the creaminess and iciness. I feel like its creaminess was up there (at least for vegan ice cream). I would come back here. The vegan lemon pie has gluten in it.
Just ok- the ice cream doesn’t taste very rich and is quite icy in texture. Molly Moon’s and Salt and Straw are better and taste more premium

Didn't even get to buy any ice cream! What kind of ice cream shop only allows one sample??I sampled the banana Nutella and It tastes artificial. The clerk said I can't try anything else so I left. What a stupid policy.

They allow 1 sample per person, which is weird because they have unusual flavors. I won’t be coming back…

I’m new to the neighborhood and have been checking out all of the different ice cream parlors and this one is definitely my new go to. It can be tricky to spot at first but once you see the large “Shop The Alley” sign you just will follow that. Not only is their ice cream great but the baked goods are great as well. Can’t wait to go back later.

Honestly I’d love to love this place because it’s a nice little local shop, but the reality is this place just isn’t that good. The ice cream is ok. The portions are tiny for the price. They ration samples (why?). Salt and Straw, despite being a bigger “chain” is much better.

Used to come here all the time. It was great. But the last time was horrible. Terrible flavor and texture. Go to Salt and Straw.
